Zhao is so good as a support that she can operate in almost every team in Zenless Zone Zero. Her universal abilities give her an edge when competing against other support units. As an F2P Agent, that’s a good thing since Zhao has so many teams she can join. So, here are her best teams for Zhao in Zenless Zone Zero, including an F2P option.

Zhao Best Team Comps In ZZZ

Given she’s a universal Agent that can work everywhere, Zhao still performs slightly less than top-tier support units that are the best choice for their respective teams. But that doesn’t mean that she’s not the best-in-slot for some teams. Here are Zhao’s best teams in Zenless Zone Zero:

Best Zhao team: Zhao + Ye Shunguang + Dialyn
Why Not Miyabi: Zhao + Miyabi + Yanagi
F2P Zhao Team: Zhao + Harumasa + Pulchra

Zhao + Ye Shunguang + Dialyn

Ye Shunguang-Dialyn-and Zhao Teams In Zenless Zone Zero

This team is made to make Ye Shunguang shine in every ZZZ content. With the buffs from Zhao and Dialyn, Ye Shunguang can reach new heights of DPS, even more than what she was capable of. Dialyn provides the Stun DMG multiplier alongside making Ye Shunguang trigger her Ultimate more often, which will keep her in the Enlightened Mind State.

On the other hand, Zhao passively generates Ether Veil, which will generate Ye Shunguang’s Qingming Sword Force. In fact, neither Zhao nor Dialyn takes that much field time. That leaves Ye Shunguang to spend the entire combat duration on the field, regenerating and triggering her Enlightened Mind State.

Zhao + Miyabi + Yanagi

As a universal support in Zenless Zone Zero, you can always add her to any perfect pair, like the duo of Miyabi and Yanagi. As Miyabi and Yanagi build up enemies’ Anomaly and trigger their respective Anomalies, Zhao secretly sets the field ready for their DMG, as she collects Frostbite stacks, greatly buffing both units’ ATK and DMG.

Although Miyabi is an Anomaly Agent, she heavily depends on Crit value, giving extra importance to having Zhao in her team. As for Yanagi, her EX Special Attacks greatly synergize with Miyabi’s Frostburn.

Zhao + Harumasa + Pulchra

As an F2P character, it’s only fair to build an F2P team around Zhao in Zenless Zone Zero. She works well with Attack agents as she can provide them with an extra flat ATK buff alongside a DMG% buff based on her max HP. While Zhao’s buffs remain on the field for a long time, Harumasa operates more as a burst DPS, where he deals more DMG based on how much you can learn his rotations. The better you are at learning his rotation with Zhao and Pulchra, the more DMG Harumasa will inflict upon enemies.

Pulchra is a good A-Rank Stun Agent who doesn’t require much field time to set the field ready for the next character. She naturally works better with Aftershock Agents, but she’s still decent with Attack characters like Harumasa. Of course, like most F2P teams in ZZZ, this Zhao team can’t compete with her premium ones, but it’s good enough to clear the easy content.
