If players want to get their hands on some Iron Ore in Pokopia, they should head to Rocky Ridges, the town behind the gate by Onyx’s habitat in Withered Wasteland. This is essentially a mining town, so gamers will be able to collect all sorts of materials, such as Iron and Copper Ore.

  • Iron Ore can be identified by the silver nuggets that appear on dark rock. This rock is, however, harder compared to the rock where players will find Copper Ore, so Rock Smash will not be enough to break it.

To break Iron Ore rock, players will have to power up Rock Smash, which can be done by eating Hamburger Steak. Gamers can make Hamburger Steak by cooking Beans in the Frying Pan.

Once players have extracted the Iron Ore, they have to smelt it in order to turn the ore into an ingot.

If players haven’t unlocked the Furnace recipe yet, they can use the one hidden in the mine on the western side of Rocky Ridges.

To smelt the Iron Ore into an Iron Ingot, players must place the ore in a furnace, call over a Pokemon with the Burn ability, and then wait until the process is completed. It can take a while, so players can focus on other tasks while they wait.
