How to Increase Home Storage in Animal Crossing: New Horizons
When players first upgrade their tent to a house, their storage space will be able to hold 80 items. It may seem like a lot, considering that they can only keep 20 items in their pockets before upgrading their inventory, but there are so many items in New Horizons that players will have no problem filling it up.
Home storage will gradually increase as players upgrade their house in Animal Crossing: New Horizons. While living in a tent, players will have no storage at all. Once they upgrade it with 5,000 Nook Miles, they will get access to 80 storage slots. The number increases to 120 with the next home expansion and so on.

As players upgrade their house, their storage will continue to expand. Once they make their final payment after building the basement, they can continue to upgrade their storage. However, these expansions will get progressively more expensive.
