How to Get Exploration Points in Where Winds Meet
Exploration plays a big role in the Where Winds Meet experience, whether it’s for collecting rewards, unlocking new features, or just seeing more of what the game has to offer. There are plenty of things to find in the Qinghe region and beyond, and almost everything you do will contribute to your regional exploration level. However, if you want to level the latter up as quickly as possible, you’ll want to make a plan, as the number of things you can do in Where Winds Meet can easily overwhelm you. Here’s a checklist of the activities you should be doing to level up your exploration progress.

Quests and Encounters
If you want to get big chunks of Exploration EXP in Where Winds Meet, then doing Exploration quests and encounters are the best way to do it. You’re bound to run into these throughout your adventures, and they’re always worth completing. Most of these activities don’t take too long to finish either, with Encounters being especially short.
Some Exploration quests and Encounters also unlock new abilities and features. One of them in particular unlocks the ability to fly in Where Winds Meet, though that one will take a while to fully complete depending on your current Qinghe Exploration level.
Quests and Encounters typically reward about 25 Exploration Points, though some of the longer quests can give up to 100 points. Main and side quests also reward varying amounts of Exploration Points.
Unlocking Boundary Stones
Boundary Stones act as checkpoints and fast travel points in Where Winds Meet. You’ll want to find and unlock all of them for the sake of both convenient travel and exploration progress. A single Boundary Stone rewards 50 Exploration Points, which is more than what most Quests and Encounters provide. However, there aren’t that many Boundary Stones per region, and finding them isn’t always easy. Boundary Stones in map sections covered by fog (such as northern Qinghe) will be invisible to you until you reveal the map itself.
Collecting Oddities and Opening Chests
One quick and easy way to get Exploration Points is to collect Oddities. These items are used to progress through the Melodies of Peace passive tree in WWM, making them extremely valuable for your account’s overall progression. Oddities typically come in the form of insects, small critters, and peculiar objects that are found in the world — they’re often very colorful and hard to miss. Just look for some pretty lights, swarms of butterflies, or glowing flowers, and you should be able to nab some Oddities during your travels.
Chests also reward Exploration Points when opened. Most points of interest usually have a few chests, and if you should be able to see them easily by following the chest marker that appears whenever one is close.
Minigames and Meow Meow Challenges
You’ll sometimes see red, glowing swords stuck to the ground while exploring. These are Meow Meow Challenges, and completing one usually rewards 30 Exploration Points. They’re very easy to do, and they take no more than a minute or so to complete.
If you find yourself in a populated area, you may run into some NPCs who you can challenge for Exploration Points. These lead to minigames like wrestling, fishing, archery, and other such activities. Expect to get around 10 Exploration Points per activity completed.
