Known as the “diamond of the fungi” in Heartopia, Black Truffle is a pretty rare resource that can only be found in one location on the map in small dark pits. You’ll need the item to make things like Black Truffle Pie and Black Truffle Cream, so this guide will go into detail on where to actually locate it in Heartopia.

Beginner Tips and Tricks for Heartopia

Beginner Tips and Tricks for Heartopia

Heartopia is not a game you’re meant to rush. Here are some of the best tips and tricks to help out new players.

How to Get Black Truffle in Heartopia

The only way to find Black Truffle in Heartopia (as far as we know) is to travel to the northeastern section and pay a visit to the Forest Island. It’s just north of the East Sea and northeast of the Forest area of Heartopia. The location isn’t closed off or anything, so you should be able to access it from the beginning of your adventure.

Walk around the island until you spot these small black mounds in the ground and dig the Black Truffle out with your hands -luckily, you don’t need any sort of tool to unearth them. Once you approach them, you’ll see the hand icon on the right, so you can press the F button to start digging. You should be able to get at least two truffles from each pile, and you can find a couple of them around Forest Island.

It’s also worth pointing out that a respawn timer will appear after you’ve grabbed Truffle from one of its spots, and it should fill in about 10-20 minutes, letting you grab more.

As for the uses of Black Truffle, you have three options:

  1. You can chomp them up to restore energy.
  2. You can sell them to Albert Jr., the gold merchant, for 99 a pop.
  3. Or you can use them in cooking recipes like Black Truffle Pie and Black Truffle Cream (yum!).
