Chitose Tachibana Side Story Walkthrough in Fatal Frame 2 Remake
After exiting Kiryu House during Chapter 8 of Fatal Frame 2: Crimson Butterfly Remake, players can find a Broken Red Speckled Crystal on the ground in front of an entrance to Tachibana House. Collecting that item causes a spirit (Girl Fleeing Darkness) to appear, opens the entrance to the house, and initiates the Chitose Tachibana side story. Players can complete this side story in Fatal Frame 2: Crimson Butterfly Remake by chasing Chitose through Tachibana House, and they will earn a charm at the end.

Girl Fleeing Darkness
Begin by collecting the Broken Red Speckled Crystal from the ground in front of the entrance to Tachibana House. Then snap a quick photo of the Girl Fleeing the Darkness to start the Chitose Tachibana side story in Fatal Frame 2: Crimson Butterfly Remake.
Follow Chitose
Enter Tachibana House and head towards the Tatami Room Hallway. Dispatch the two wraiths that appear there and then enter the Tatami Lounge to trigger a voice line.
Now make your way into the Clock Hall. A Broken-Necked Woman will spawn here, and players should defeat this wraith before climbing the stairs to the second floor.
At the top of the stairs, pass through the door on your right to enter Storeroom – East. Players will hear a voice line when they enter this room, and the door will soon shut. When that happens, pull out the Camera Obscura, equip the Exposure Filter, and snap a photo of the Girl Seeking Help in the corner. Collect the Crimson Diary 5 that appears on the ground to progress the side story.
Search for Chitose
Head over to Tatami Wing – East, getting a photo of the Girl Emerging from Room when you exit Storeroom – East, and enter through the east door. Defeat the wraith that appears in this room before entering Tatami Wing – South, where you will encounter yet another wraith that you must deal with. Once that second wraith is addressed, enter the Storeroom, use the Exposure Filter to snap a photo of the Girl Hiding from Wraith, and grab Crimson Diary 6 from the ground.
Go to Itsuki’s Room
Now go to Itsuki’s Room, which is at the top of the stairs that you climbed after defeating the Broken-Necked Woman. You will be forced to do battle with Chitose here. When she is defeated, use your Exposure Filter to take a photo of the Girl Reading Letter at the table and collect Bound Diary 6 from the ground. You will also receive Crimson Diary 7 and a Broken Red Speckled Crystal, and complete the Chitose Tachibana side story, when you pick up that diary.
Chitose Tachibana Side Story Reward in Fatal Frame 2 Remake
Players will collect a variety of documents and logged photos while working on the Chitose Tachibana side story. They will also receive the Red Speckled Crystal, which is created by combining the two Broken Red Speckled Crystals that are found during the story, at the end. This charm restores health upon inflicting damage and decreases the chances of encountering certain wraiths, and players can equip it through the charms tab within the items menu.
