How to Get War Bonds in StarRupture
As you progress through StarRupture, you’ll need to begin exploring more and more of Arcadia-7. That, however, comes with its own perils, as plenty of the hostile ‘Vermin’ creatures await you. While you can unlock the standard pistol and grenades by leveling up your relationship with the Griffits Blue Corporation, you’ll need to get War Bonds for the rest. These War Bonds can be obtained in a few different ways and are your ticket to upgrading your weapons and purchasing attachments for your preferred weapons, too. In this guide, I’ll explain every way you can get War Bonds in StarRupture, so you’ll never be left wanting when it comes to your arsenal.
How to Get War Bonds in StarRupture
War Bonds can be obtained by leveling up with the Griffits Blue Corporation, finding them on dead bodies, exploring abandoned settlements, and looting hidden chests across the planet of Arcadia-7. I’ve explained each of these in a little more detail below.
Getting War Bonds from the Griffits Blue Corporation
The first and easiest method is to keep focusing on improving your relationship with the Griffits Blue Corporation. Once you’ve unlocked the Equipment Upgrade Station at level 4, you’ll begin to regularly get War Bonds as a reward for future levels. I’ve detailed these below:
- Level 5: 60 War Bonds
- Level 7: 80 War Bonds
- Level 10: 100 War Bonds
The 240 War Bonds up for grabs here aren’t even enough to unlock all weapons in StarRupture, though, so you’ll need to venture out of the confines of your base to get more.
Loot War Bonds from Dead Bodies
The next easiest method is to go looting dead bodies scattered across the surface of Arcadia-7. Once you’ve unlocked the map, you can open it with M and simply head towards one of the body icons on your map to find a corpse.
With a bit of luck, you’ll find some War Bonds, but if they don’t have them, you’ll still likely find some useful items that can be analyzed for Data Points or will otherwise come in handy on your adventure.
Explore Abandoned Settlements to Find War Bonds in StarRupture
As you begin to venture further out from your starting base, you’ll begin to find remnants of abandoned settlements. While these can sometimes come with their own hazards, those who venture inside can be rewarded with more War Bonds.
Inside these settlements, you may find storage boxes that require you to complete little puzzles to open. Some may require you to crouch and squeeze through a broken door, while others may require you to complete a series of accurate jumps to reach them.
Look Out for Hidden Storage Boxes
Settlements aren’t the only places you’ll find storage boxes lingering around. If you’re lucky, you can find them tucked away in cave systems. The main takeaway here is to thoroughly search any new significant landmark or area that you explore in StarRupture, as chances are you’ll find chests.
Much like dead bodies, they’re not guaranteed to always contain War Bonds, but the contents is always worth the effort you’ve put into reaching them.
