The process of leaving a guild in Where Winds Meet can be frustrating for a lot of players. Although the process itself doesn’t have any special requirements or prerequisites, the confusing menus that players have to navigate to find the Leave Guild button make the task difficult.
For wanderers looking to abandon a guild to join a new one, knowing how to leave is the first step. This guide details the exact step-by-step process of leaving a guild in Where Winds Meet, as well as how to disband one that players have created themselves.

How to Disband a Guild in Where Winds Meet
If you’ve accidentally created a guild in Where Winds Meet or are currently the leader of a guild you want to disband, you can do so through the following steps:
- Open the Start menu.
- Go to Guilds.
- Go to the Member Roster tab from the left pane.
- Select “View” on the yellow pane on the right.
- Press and hold “Disband.”
- Select “Confirm” when prompted to permanently end the guild, destroy the treasury, and remove all members.
Guilds in Where Winds Meet have a maintenance cost that goes up the higher the level of the guild. If a guild fails to keep up the maintenance costs, it will automatically disband. This means that if guild members aren’t actively participating in activities and contributing to its upkeep, there is no way to keep that guild alive.
Since these activities are separate from the daily/weekly objectives available in Where Winds Meet by default, it requires committed, active members to keep a guild up and running.
