Cinderella has been one of the most requested characters since Disney Dreamlight Valley first came out, and she is finally here with the Winter Ball update. Once players download the update, they will be able to unlock her through a quest called The Pumpkin and the Princess.

How to Start The Pumpkin and the Princess Quest

After installing the Winter Ball update, you will need to check your mailbox. Inside your mailbox, you will discover a letter from the Fairy Godmother asking you to find a fancy shoe in the Plaza, which will be your first task in The Pumpkin and the Princess questline that, when completed, unlocks Cinderella.

Cinderella’s Shoe Location in DDV

Players can find the fancy shoe in the Plaza biome, just like the Fairy Godmother says. If you are not already there, fast-travel to the Plaza and look around the stairs that lead down to Peaceful Meadow. The shoe will be sitting in that area. You can also see its exact location in the video above. After picking it up, make your way to the Fairy Godmother’s house to continue the quest.

How to Craft the Wish Enchantment in DDV

Fairy Godmother explains that the shoe was Cinderella’s. She also tells you that when the Forgetting happened, she hid Cinderella away to keep her safe. To get her back, you’ll need a mysterious pumpkin. And to grow that pumpkin, you first have to craft the Wish Enchantment.

Here’s what DDV players will need to collect to craft the Wish Enchantment, and where you can find them:

1 x Orange Nasturtium (found on the ground in Forgotten Lands)
5 x Ginger (grows all over Forgotten Lands)
5 x Gooseberries (harvested from their bushes in Forgotten Lands)
1 x Diamond (mined from rock spots in Forgotten Lands)

Once you’ve gathered everything, go to any crafting station and open the Potion & Enchantment tab. Select Wish Enchantment and craft it. Next, you will need to use it from your inventory and then go back to Fairy Godmother.

How to Plant the Small Spell Pumpkin in DVV

Once your Watering Can is enchanted, Fairy Godmother will hand you a Spell Pumpkin and ask you to plant it. Just plant it in the ground, water it, and wait about 15 minutes for it to grow.

Once it grows, harvest it. As soon as you do, it will suddenly disappear. Now, you will need to head back to Fairy Godmother. She explains that Remy grabbed the pumpkin because he thought it was an ingredient.

Your next step is to visit Remy’s Restaurant and get the Spell Pumpkin back from him. Once you have it, head over to Fairy Godmother again. She will tell you that now that you’ve got the Spell Pumpkin ready, you can finally welcome Cinderella to the valley.

Place her house anywhere you like, then place a few pieces of furniture and the pumpkin by the Wishing Well in the Plaza. After everything is set, you will have to interact with the pumpkin to unlock Cinderella as a villager.
