Bradley the Badger Has Serious Conker’s Bad Fur Day Vibes

By newsgame

During The Game Awards 2025, developer Day 4 Night revealed Bradley the Badger, a new action-adventure game coming to Steam. While a release date has yet to be unveiled, the upcoming Steam game looks like it could interest Conker’s Bad Fur Day fans, along with those who enjoy a good 3D platformer.

The Game Awards is among the biggest nights of the year for the gaming industry. Awards are given out to some of the best games and developers, and world premieres are featured. These new trailers give a glimpse at what gamers can expect in the new year ahead. While several titles from big AAA developers were already teased to make an appearance at The Game Awards 2025, there were some surprises during the night’s festivities as well.

Bradley the Badger Game Awards Trailer

Among the world premieres was a trailer for Bradley the Badger, a new Steam game that looks to put a bizarre spin on the platform genre in a similar way to Conker’s Bad Fur Day. While it is unclear how vulgar Bradley the Badger will be in comparison, the game looks to introduce some novel concepts and features a satirical story. As the name suggests, players control a video game mascot known as Bradley. The trailer begins rather innocuously, but things take a strange turn once Bradley steps outside his house. His world of Dreamwoods is gone, and he finds himself lost in unfinished game worlds that are “inspired” by other classic titles. Some of the worlds spotted in the trailer include Badgerborne, Cyberbadger, and The Last Badger, with their influences pretty clear.

These new locales, seemingly inspired by games like Bloodborne and The Last of Us, stand out as they are juxtaposed against the humorous cartoon character Bradley. The trailer even takes another unexpected turn when the code breaks down, leading to a segment of the character appearing to exit the game and enter the real world in human form. While it is unclear how this will work in the game, Day 4 Night has said that Bradley the Badger will feature live-action moments.

Beyond the bizarre presentation, Bradley the Badger offers some inventive gameplay features. Leaning into the game developer idea, Bradley has a tool called the Kit. This tool lets players manipulate the world in numerous ways. As seen in the trailer, players can extend surfaces to make new traversable paths, change the size of objects to fit through barriers, and make walls climbable to reach new heights. Furthermore, the Kit lets Bradley control various objects, such as a truck and an apple, to name a few. Some of the other abilities players will have at their disposal include Explosive, Manipulator, Copy, Gravity, Liquify, and Debug. With this many options, the Kit should help gameplay from becoming repetitive.

It is worth noting that the game currently does not have a release date. However, Day 4 Night already has a Steam page for Bradley the Badger, where gamers can wishlist the title. According to the developer, more updates will be shared as development progresses, including artwork and gameplay clips. Additionally, a cast reveal will happen in the future, as the game features voice acting. Day 4 Night also encouraged fans to share their feedback to “help us shape the game until its release.”

Bradley the Badger reveal

While gamers will have to wait for Bradley the Badger‘s launch, the world premiere shows a game with potential. It will be interesting to see if it can have the same impact on the gaming community as Conker’s Bad Fur Day did back on the N64. Regardless, fans of the genre might want to keep an eye on the upcoming Steam game as it gets closer to launch.
