In Fortnite, Morphite weapons get progressively better as players deal damage to enemy players. As the hitmarkers appear, the meter located below the weapon’s name will rise. Once it’s full, players can select the Evolve Weapon! option that’ll appear on their screen to increase the weapon’s rarity.

Since players lose their weapons when they are eliminated in Reload, this type of weapon incentivizes players to stay alive in Reload for as long as possible. It discourages them from immediately rebooting after being knocked and recklessly throwing themselves in harm’s way.
