The ongoing ‘Journey to Paldea‘ event in Pokemon GO homes in on Pokemon from, you guessed it, the Paldea region from Pokemon Scarlet and Violet. In the two collection challenges for the event (ending on December 9), you can catch specific Pokemon to earn encounters with Larvitar and Bagon, and also some XP and Stardust.

During the event, there’s increased chances to encounter a shiny version of Bagon and Larvitar, so if you’ve been champing at the bit waiting to get a shiny Tyranitar or Salamence, your time has come.

In this guide, we’ll show you all the Pokemon you’ll need to catch to complete the Scarlet and Violet collection challenges in Pokemon GO.
