Genshin Impact Leaks Details About Columbina in Version 6.3
A reliable source in the Genshin Impact community has revealed an overview of Columbina’s ability kit, giving playes an idea of what to expect from the Moon Maiden in Version 6.3. Much like the Archons of previous regions in Genshin Impact, Columbina is intended to be the centerpiece of Nod-Krai – both from a narrative and gameplay standpoint. In Version 6.0, players have been able to learn more about Columbina via the weekly Selenic Chronicles, but up until recently, her ability kit was the subject of wild rumors and speculation.
Genshin Impact introduced Lunar Reactions in Nod-Krai – alternate versions of classic Elemental Reactions such as Electro-Charged, Bloom, and Crystallize. While hypercarries such as Flins and Nefer have championed the concept admirably, many players feel like there’s a missing piece in their Lunar Reaction teams. This role is precisely what Columbina is designed to fulfill, and she is expected to make her gameplay debut in the first half of Version 6.3.
Genshin Impact Leaks 3 New Characters for Version 6.3
A recent leak in the Genshin Impact community reveals the name, weapon, element, and rarity of the three new characters coming in Version 6.3.
Genshin Impact: Columbina Overview for Version 6.3
- Rarity: 5-Star
- Element: Hydro
- Weapon: Catalyst
- Role: Sub DPS, Support
According to Uncle Kokomi, one of the most reliable sources for Genshin Impact, Columbina will be a universal support for Lunar Reactions. As a 5-Star Hydro Catalyst, Columbina’s Elemetal Skill will create an aura around herself, applying Hydro to nearby enemies, and dealing an instance of Lunar Reaction damage scaled by Columbina’s HP. This damage type can be Lunar-Charged, Lunar-Bloom, or Lunar-Crystallize, and is determined by which Lunar Reaction did the most damage during the Elemental Skill’s interval. Much like Nahida in Genshin Impact, Columbina’s Elemental Burst creates a dome that provides a teamwide buff – this time to Lunar Reaction damage.
Furthermore, it is rumored that Columbina’s passives and constellations enhance the Lunar Reactions themselves, such as increasing the frequency of thunderclouds for Lunar-Charged, or increasing the number of Verdant Dews for Lunar-Bloom. This makes her an ideal teammate for any Lunar Reaction build, but less ideal for hypercarries who don’t rely on Lunar Reactions, such as Mavuika or Skirk in Genshin Impact. As such, it is safe to assume that Columbina was primarily designed with Nefer, Flins, and Zibai in mind.
While some players were hoping that Columbina would have a more universal kit, it should be noted that this is an early overview of her gameplay. Beta testing for Version 6.3 is expected to commence on December 3, 2025, and players will be able to examine how Columbina performs in a variety of teams. In addition to Columbina, Version 6.3 will introduce two Genshin Impact characters in its second half: Zibai, a 5-Star Geo Sword and Illuga, a 4-Star Geo Polearm. Both characters will have a focus on Lunar-Crystallize, with Zibai being a hypercarry for the reaction, and Illuga taking on the role of a dedicated support.
Unlike Version 6.2 and Version 6.1, the coming update will launch with a map expansion for Genshin Impact, taking the players to the northern reaches of Nod-Krai: Lake Amsvartnir and the Lightkeeper city of Piramida. As a result, ascension and talent materials for Columbina, Zibai, and Illuga will likely be restricted to the new zone. More importantly, it will be an opportunity for players to stock up on Primogems in Genshin Impact, as Version 6.2 is only expected to give a total of 62 Intertwined Wishes to free-to-play accounts.
Though Columbina has established herself as a fan favorite in Nod-Krai, many players are wondering about her value from a gameplay perspective. Genshin Impact has over a hundred playable characters, and Lunar Reactions are only enabled by four specific 5-Stars as of Version 6.2. Whereas Archons in Genshin Impact have often been universal in their role, Columbina may almost be too niche by comparison. Players can expect to find out more on December 3, 2025. Version 6.3 is set to launch on January 14, 2026.
