How to Increase the Mood for the Party in Rocky Ridges in Pokopia
Once you find DJ Rotom and Chef Dente in Pokemon Pokopia’s Rocky Ridges map, you’ll get a new main story request called ‘Time to Party,’ which has quite a few steps to complete. In this guide, we’ll walk you through the questline and show you how to complete it quickly.
All Pokemon Locations in Pokopia (Complete Pokedex)
There are 300 Pokemon in Pokemon Pokopia. Here’s where you can find them all.
Set Up the Party Cooking Pot
The first step to making the best party ever is to take the Party Cooking Pot from Chef Dente and place it in the middle of the area filled with ash and stone. You’ll need to use Rock Smash or Rollout to clear the area and make it look pretty for your Poke-friends first.
How to Increase the Mood for the Party in Pokopia (DJ Rotom)
Next, you’ll need to create the perfect vibe for the party by increasing the mood to 100. You can check the current mood for the party by speaking to DJ Rotom at any time and selecting “How’s the mood right now?”
DJ Rotom will also point out that they can take up to 5 Music CDs and slot them into its playlist. You should fill up the slots by finding five CDs, which can be found randomly in glowing spots around the world. You can read more about finding and using Music Discs in this guide. It might also help to use the Dowsing Machine to find treasure spots.
To raise the mood, you can also place Relics around the party that can be appraised by Professor Tangrowth. You can find Small and Large Relics in the same shiny buried spots where CDs are found. The locations are random, so you’ll have to do some searching. At this point, you might have found some already.
Another way to improve the mood is to place decorative items like Balloons around the party. In our game, we managed to have Balloons for sale at the Pokemon Center PC shop for a few Life Coins, so look there if you have none in your inventory.
After you give DJ Rotom a CD or two, they’ll want you to bring a Pokemon to the party with the Hype Specialty, like Ludicolo.
How to Make Uplifting Duckweed Habitat for Ludicolo
You may have found Chatot in the Rocky Ridges map already (another Pokemon with the Hype specialty), but for the completion of the ‘Time to Party’ quest, it seems that it’s required to find a Ludicolo. To get one to appear, you’ll need to find a body of water and use Leafage to make an Uplifting Duckweed habitat.
We managed to make Ludicolo appear by going to the crop area southwest of the Pokemon Center and creating four pieces of Duckweed next to each other on the water’s surface. It didn’t take long at all for Ludicolo to show up. Once you befriend them, have them follow you by speaking to them or holding the up button on the directional pad. Bring them to the party area, and DJ Rotom’s request will be marked complete, raising the party’s mood. We’re almost there!
Crafting the Party Platters in Pokopia
Next, speak to Chef Dente to get a recipe for Party Platters. The cook wants you to make five of these platters at a crafting table (you’ll need 15 Iron Ingots in total to make them) and set food on them in the party area. It doesn’t matter if you put bread, burgers, or salads on the party platters, so just go ahead and cook anything you can get your hands on.
Once you put the five platters down with some food, the party vibe meter should be at 100. If you’re still not quite there, try adding more balloons to the area or acquiring more Relics with Tangrowth, then placing those Relics in the party area.
How to Cook Curry for the Party
Now that the vibe is perfect, you can speak to Chef Dente and take them over to the cooking pot. You’ll also need to bring DJ Rotom, Ludicolo, and two other Pokemon to help with the cooking process. Of course, you’ll need to add the ingredients first:
- 15 Leppa Berries
- 15 Wheat
- 15 Beans
- 5 Honey
Once everything is set up, you can interact with the pot to begin making the Party Curry. You’ll have to wait a few minutes for the food to finish, though.
Befriending Volcanion
Speak to Tangrowth after the curry is made, and a cutscene will happen showing the Mythical Pokemon Volcanion on a cliff nearby. Just hop on over to them and speak to them to befriend them. Go back down to the party and speak to Tangrowth to finally wrap up the questline.
