How to Get Crystal Fragments in Pokopia

One of the first instances in Pokemon Pokopia where you’ll need to gather Crystal Fragments is to rebuild the Pokemon Center in the Rocky Ridges map. You’ll also need some of the blue glowing rocks to complete the fifth step of the Team Initiation Challenge at the mysterious tower in Withered Wastelands.

There’s room deep within the cave system of Rocky Ridges where you can gather plenty of Crystal Fragments for whatever it is you need them for, so here’s how to find it in Pokopia.

How to Find Crystal Fragments in Pokopia

The easiest place to find a bunch of Crystal Fragments is by heading deep into the mines of the Rocky Ridges map. For exact instructions on how to find a special room filled with these crystals, check out the list below. It’s worth noting that you should bake some bread using an oven first to improve your Cut move as you’ll need to pass through some metal gates. You should also learn the move Strength from Machoke.

From the Pokemon Center in Rocky Ridges, head northwest along the path.
Head inside the cave and then make a left turn when you hit a wall.
You’ll pass some metal gates that should already be cut from when you found and befriended Magmar for the first time.
Once you pass the gates, take a right.
Go a bit deeper, and then take a left, and then another left to see four heavy stone pillars. You can move them out of the way by using Strength or just breaking the rocks to the side of them with an improved Rock Smash (eat a burger to power it up).
If you followed the directions, you’ll reach a closed-off room with a ton of Glowing Rocks (for Glowing Stones) and Crystal Fragments. For the latter, you don’t even need to improve Rock Smash to break them.

Another way to get Crystal Fragments is to get your hands on a Dragonite Doll and use Drifloom to visit the Sky Dream Island. The island will have Crystal Fragments, Pokemetal, and Wastepaper. You can only get the doll in the Sparkling Skylands area, though, and it’s found randomly in the shiny treasure spots. Make sure to use the Dowsing Machine to make it a bit easier to find it!
