Equitable Distribution Contract Guide in Marathon

Equitable Distribution is the Traxus Priority Contract that players will receive after joining the Faction, and it’s also the contract that has the most steps. This contract comes in 4 parts, and it will require you to hunt items and enemies alike. As such, we’ve got this guide to help you through the perils that await.

Below, you’ll find an easy-to-follow step-by-step process of completing all 4 Equitable Distribution quests in Marathon. We’ve listed the steps and locations that you’ll need to reach, along with tips on how to ensure a successful extraction so you’re not stuck in a loop.

Players can join the Traxus Faction in Marathon by completing a Priority Contract that takes them to Dire Marsh. Here’s all the steps to take.

How to Complete Equitable Distribution [1/4] in Marathon

Acquire the Self-Erasing Data Drive from the Second Floor of Hauler

1. Head to Perimeter and go west to Hauler.
2. Enter the second floor via the stairs.
3. The Self-Erasing Data Drive is found in a locker by the west wall.

Deliver the Data Drive to DCON Within the Time Limit

1. With the Self-Erasing Data Drive, you have a 3-minute timer to deliver it to DCON.
2. Open the map and look for a DCON icon.
3. There are around 4 in each corner of the map, with the closest being north of the North Array.
4. Interact with the DCON and drag the Self-Erasing Data Drive from your inventory into the DCON inventory.

This step requires you to enter the Perimeter map and immediately head to Hauler, a POI in the west. Once here, the second floor will have a server room at the west wall, which contains a locker with the Self-Erasing Data Drive.

As soon as you pick it up, a 3-minute timer starts. Failing the timer means you’ll have to try the next match. As such, you should only pick up the Self-Erasing Data Drive when the DCONs appear on the map. Simply take the Self-Erasing Data Drive to the DCON and drop it in.

How to Complete Equitable Distribution [2/4] in Marathon

Summon Transport Drone via the Second-Floor Terminal in Algae Ponds

1. Run the Dire Marsh map and venture to the center of the map for Algae Ponds.
2. The main building, south of the “LG” in “Algae” on the map, contains the terminal.
3. On the second floor, you’ll find a lab area that has a terminal. Interacting with it will start an audio transmission.

Exfil UESC Supplies and Drone Manifest

1. Head into the center of Algae Marsh and look south.
2. After the audio plays, a Transport Drone will spawn and travel directly north.
3. Locate and shoot the Transport Drone.
4. Loot the Transport Drone for the “UESC Supplies” and “Drone Manifest” items.
5. Exfil from Dire Marsh with both items in your inventory.

Both these steps can be completed in Dire Marsh at Algae Ponds. The second floor of the blue building contains a terminal, which you can interact with to hear audio and spawn a Transport Drone.

Upon destroying the Transport Drone (which follows the north road), you can loot the UESC Supplies and Drone Manifest. All that’s left to do is extract with these items.

How to Complete Equitable Distribution [3/4] in Marathon

Scan Drones in the Tunnels Beneath Station (0/3)

1. Enter Perimeter and head northeast to Station.
2. Inside the main building, you can head inside and go down the stairs to find the garage.
3. Inside, you can locate multiple drones that can be scanned.
4. One is on the right on a platform.
5. The other is by the crane on a shelf.
6. The last is in the southeast corner.

Deliver Unstable Gunmetal resources to DCON in Perimeter (0/7)

1. Unstable Gunmetal can be commonly scavenged around Station.
2. Once you’ve found 7, locate a DCON by opening the map.
3. The closest DCON should be south of Station.
4. Drag the Unstable Gunmetal from your inventory into the DCON.

Both these steps can be completed from within Station, a POI in Perimeter. To begin, it’s best to head to the main building of Station and enter the garage area via the stairs that will take you to the tunnels. You’ll find plenty of drones, but only some can be interacted with.

For Unstable Gunmetal, you can track it as a valuable item, but you’ll find an abundance of the stuff in Station. With 7 or more, head to the DCON icon on the map and deposit them to finish the quest.

How to Complete Equitable Distribution [4/4] in Marathon

Trace Commander Location at Terminal South of South Relay

1. Enter the Perimeter map and head to the far south unmarked location of South Relay.
2. You’ll find a small facility here, and you can enter via a hatch on the roof.
3. Inside are explosive traps, so watch out.
4. Locate the terminal in the north room and activate it.
5. You can exit by destroying the 4 red light boxes inside the facility.

Acquire Credentials from UESC Commander

1. The UESC Commander’s location will be marked on the map (ours was North Relay).
2. Ignore the timer, as that’s when the UESC Commander spawns, not when he leaves.
3. Reach the POI that contains the UESC Commander and kill him, along with his soldiers.
4. Loot the UESC Commander for the UESC Credentials.

This final part of the quest takes you back to Perimeter again, where you will need to begin in South Relay. Venture south of South Relay to find a small facility by the edge of the map, and inside the booby-trapped building is a terminal that reveals the UESC Commander’s location.

With the UESC Commander’s location, open your map and identify where he is, then head there. The timer is nothing to worry about, as that just tells you when he spawns. With his arrival and death, you can pick up the UESC Credentials item to finish the quest.
