The hint you get is not very clear, and it can easily send you wandering around the map with no real direction. How to Start the Gossip Treasure Hunt Quest in Heartopia

To start Naughty’s Treasure Hunt, you don’t need to complete any task or wait for certain weather. The only real requirement is that you need to reach D.G. level 11. Gossip quests won’t appear before that.

Once you are at D.G. level 11, make it a habit to check your requests. The quest begins when you receive a random story request that requires you to deliver materials to Naughty. Since it’s random, you might not get it right away.

Once you accept the request, give Naughty the materials he asked for. After that, talk to Cassie. She will tell you that Naughty ran off with her gear. When you go back and confront him, he admits he accidentally broke Cassie’s Trekking Pole.

But of course, that’s not the end of it. He says he actually had a spare one. But the problem is that he was playing treasure hunt with a backpacker, and the spare pole got buried somewhere. Now neither of them remembers where it was buried.

Naughty asks you to borrow a metal detector from Albert Jr., so go to Albert Jr. and talk to him. He agrees to help, but first, you need to sell him one high-value item from your inventory. After you do that, speak to him again. He will tell you that he has sent the metal detector to Naughty, so players will need to head back to Naught for the next step.

How to Find the Trekking Pole in Heartopia

When you talk to Naughty again, he asks you to help him search for the Trekking Pole. He says it could be in either Fisher’s Wharf or the Flower Field. Then he mentions that he’s going to Fisher’s Wharf, which is your clue to find the pole in the Flower Field.

But here is the part that confuses a lot of players. You do not actually need to search the ground for the pole. Instead, go to Vernie, the ranger in the Flower Field, and ask her about the trekking pole. She will explain that while loosening the soil around the flowers, she found the pole and put it away safely so it wouldn’t get in the way of the plants.
