How to Get Highland Poppy Seeds in Heartopia
Highland Poppy Seeds became available during Week 2 of the Winter Frost Event, but there are a few important requirements to keep in mind before you can purchase them.
First, you need to reach Gardening Hobby Level 3 to unlock flowers. Once you hit Gardening Level 3, flowers will appear in Blanc’s Gardening Store, and Highland Poppy Seeds will be listed in the menu as well.
To unlock Highland Poppy flowers, speak to Blanc during or after Week 2 of the event. You can find him on Onsen Mountain. When you interact with Blanc, he will give you a short, dedicated quest that introduces Highland Poppies and walks you through buying and planting your first one. Completing this quest permanently unlocks the seeds for purchase during the Winter Frost Event.
In Blanc’s Gardening Store, you’ll see three different types of Highland Poppy Seeds available. You can buy all three variants or just one, depending on how much you want to experiment with crossbreeding.
How to Crossbreed Highland Poppy in Heartopia
Crossbreeding Highland Poppies follow the same core mechanics as other flowers but come with a few important placement rules. Highland Poppies take one full day to mature and must be planted adjacent to at least two other mature flowers in order to hybridize. These flowers must be the same type (Highland Poppy) but different colors.
A 2×2 grid layout is highly recommended. This setup keeps hybrid chances balanced, maximizes adjacency, and is easy to manage without overcrowding your plot.
To improve your success rate, you can use Rainbow Breeding Powder, which increases the chance of successful crossbreeding. Additionally, Rainbow Bouquets can trigger breeding powder effects while watering.
Make sure to check on your flowers throughout the day and keep them watered as they grow toward blooming. With patience, proper placement, and a bit of luck, Highland Poppies will begin producing new color variants. These hybrids help raise your flower star level.
