Black Ops 7 Update Adds Fan-Favorite Multiplayer Map
A new playlist update for Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 has added one of the franchise’s most iconic Multiplayer maps: Nuketown. With today’s update, Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 now features a total of 4 remastered Black Ops 2 maps, including the 2025 variant of Nuketown, as seen in the 2012 shooter. If that wasn’t enough, developer Treyarch Studios has already confirmed that even more remasters are on the way as part of Season 1, the release date of which has yet to be revealed.
As a direct sequel to Black Ops 2, the latest Call of Duty title has tons of throwbacks to the classic shooter, including four remastered maps, iconic weapons such as the MSMC (now known as the MPC-25 in Black Ops 7), and more. Treyarch also plans to give fans some Black Ops 2 maps that have never been remastered before, with the first being Meltdown in Season 1. It will be joined by Standoff, which was remastered once before in Black Ops Cold War. There are also plenty of other maps that haven’t been remastered yet that could be added in the future, including Yemen, Plaza, Cargo, and many others.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 developer Treyarch Studios announces a major change to Endgame that will come into effect later this week.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 Playlist Update Adds Nuketown 2025
As part of a free update, developer Treyarch Studios has officially added Nuketown 2025 to Call of Duty: Black Ops 7. The iconic map, first seen in the original Black Ops, followed by its 2025 variant in Black Ops 2, is live in-game right now. The map has been added to the majority of the game’s playlists, and even has its own dedicated 24/7 playlist available, allowing players to jump into non-stop Nuketown action. While this is a faithful remaster of Nuketown 2025 from Black Ops 2, Treyarch has made some slight adjustments, such as upgrading the former mannequins into robots in order to match the aesthetic of Black Ops 7.
Sadly, Treyarch hasn’t celebrated the release of Nuketown with a Double XP event in Black Ops 7, but rumors suggest one is on the way. According to reliable data miners, the very first Double XP weekend is set to begin on Tuesday, November 25, and run right through until Monday, December 1. This will give players the chance to earn double the amount of level and weapon XP in preparation for the game’s big Season 1 update, which is expected to add tons of new content to the shooter.
There might not be a Double XP event alongside today’s playlist update, but Activision is making it easier than ever for players to get their hands on Double XP Tokens for Call of Duty: Black Ops 7. Alongside numerous promotions with the likes of Monster Energy and Little Caesars, the publisher is giving fans a total of five 1-hour Double Level XP Tokens and five 1-hour Double Weapon XP Tokens, simply for logging into the game. The only catch is that this offer is only available for a limited time and will end with the launch of Season 1. Anybody who logs into the game for the first time from Season 1 onwards will not receive the Tokens.
