Battlefield 6 Makes Big Change to Conquest

By newsgame

Battlefield 6 developer DICE has made a highly requested change to Conquest, increasing the ticket count on all maps from 1,000 to 1,200 as part of a new backend update that is live on all platforms right now. DICE says it has been closely reviewing feedback from the Battlefield 6 community since the game’s launch in October, while also evaluating win rates, objective play, and more. As a result, the studio has now opted to tweak Conquest with more changes, this time in an attempt to maintain match length and ensure the focus remains on objective play.

The latest entry in the Battlefield series has received rave reviews from both players and critics, but a large portion of the community has been unhappy with certain parts of the game. Die-hard veterans of the franchise believe Battlefield 6 is trying too hard to appeal to the Call of Duty community, with smaller maps, faster movement, and shorter matches. Back in October, just days after its launch, the studio lowered the ticket count for Battlefield 6‘s Conquest game mode, meaning matches would be much shorter. This led to tons of backlash, resulting in the change being reverted.

Things Black Ops 7 Does Better Than Battlefield 6

Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 and Battlefield 6 are competing in 2026 for players, but what aspects of Black Ops 7 are better than Battlefield 6?

Battlefield 6 Increases Conquest Ticket Count

Thankfully, it looks like DICE has heard the feedback loud and clear, as it has continued to refine Conquest in order to please Battlefield 6 players. In the mode’s latest update, which is live now on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC, DICE has increased the ticket count for Conquest on all maps from 1,000 to 1,200. The studio noted how one of the most recent Battlefield 6 updates, 1.1.2.0, introduced adjustments to the underlying ruleset designed to further emphasize objective play, ensuring that holding more objectives than the enemy team has a meaningful impact. DICE says it believes focusing on objective play is “deep in the DNA of Battlefield,” which is why these recent changes make it more important than ever to play the objective and work as a team.

Conquest is a staple of the Battlefield franchise, but DICE has attempted to branch out with plenty of new game modes for Battlefield 6. One of the most recent additions came alongside the game’s November 18 update, known as California Resistance. Sabotage is a new, limited-time game mode in Battlefield 6 that is designed for 8v8 combat where two teams fight to attack or defend high-priority cargo in multiple areas across the map. Cargo can be damaged by just about anything, and the team that destroys the most cargo wins.

Fans of the first-person shooter genre who haven’t checked out Battlefield 6 will be able to play for free later this month. Publisher EA has announced that a special free trial period will begin on Tuesday, November 15, until Monday, December 1. During this time, anyone can jump into Battlefield 6 and play 3 maps and 5 modes for as long as they desire. The trial will come to an end just days before the shooter’s next major update, Winter Offensive, which will add another new map, melee weapon, and limited-time event on December 9.
