How to Get Mutations in Escape Tsunami for Brainrots
Currently, Roblox Escape Tsunami for Brainrots features 12 different mutations that can be applied to your creatures through several methods, such as taking part in events, opening Lucky Blocks, using the Spawn Machine, or letting units be altered by Mutation Rains.
Below is a clear breakdown of each mutation and the easiest ways to obtain Brainrots with them.
|
All Mutations |
Multiplier |
How to Get? |
|---|---|---|
|
Emrald |
1.2x |
While Brainrots with this mutation appear on the track automatically, you can also get them (including Cosmic, Secret, and Celestial) through the Arcade Spin Wheel or mutate them using Acid Rain. |
|
Gold |
1.5x |
Snag these units from the Arcade Spin and running track, expose your creatures to the Gold Mutation Rain (usually triggered during admin abuses), or collect them after the Gold Wave (a tsunami that turns most critters on the course into Gold). |
|
Blood |
2x |
You’ll usually spot a handful of blood-mutated monsters in each rarity area (it’s the most common type), though you can also look out for its rain cloud to grant this effect to your units during admin abuses. |
|
Electric |
3x |
Characters with the Electric mutation have blue lightning coming out of them, making them prominent on the map. However, they drop naturally a bit less often than the three types mentioned above. Alternatively, keep an eye out for the Electric Wave (Wave Wednesday and weekly admin abuse special), or, of course, for the Mutation Rain. |
|
UFO |
3.5x |
Open the UFO Lucky Blocks to claim this variant of Brainrots (the higher the block’s rarity, the rarer your finds will be), use the UFO Spin for 20 event coins to obtain Secret, Cosmic, Celestial, or Divine UFO-mutated creatures, or simply let the UFO Wave (which spawns every few seconds during the UFO event) do its job. |
|
Radioactive |
3.5x |
Like any event mutation, just unlock Radioactive Lucky Blocks to snag any rarity monster with the Radioactive mutation, try your luck on the Radioactive Spin for top-tier units, or grab them after the Radioactive Wave passes during the event. |
|
Money |
3.9x |
Hop into the Money Event (it arrives randomly on the server throughout the day) and get Money-mutated characters from the Cash Spin wheel, Money Lucky Blocks, or the racing mini-game after the Money Wave magically transforms ordinary entities into this exclusive variant. Acid Rain (or other mutation rains) can also bless your existing Brainrots with it. |
|
Admin |
4x |
As the name suggests, this one is found on units from Admin Lucky Blocks, which have a small chance of dropping on the ground when updates occur or during admin abuses. These units feature a face icon with a crown on top. |
|
Gamer |
4x |
Every now and then, the Arcade Event starts on the server. Just gather the Gaming Consoles and spend them on the Arcade Spin to win Gamer-mutated creatures, break the Gamer Lucky Blocks, and/or claim critters after the purple Gamer Wave clears the path. |
|
Diamond |
4.12x |
Previously, this variant was the hardest to acquire naturally on the map, though Acid Rain made it a bit easier. Thankfully, after the Arcade Event was introduced, fans can obtain entities with the Diamond mutation through the Arcade Wheel (especially Cosmic, Secret, and Celestial). |
|
Hacker |
5x |
Any units obtained via the dupe glitch can receive this mutation automatically, even if they initially have a different variant. |
|
Lucky |
10x |
Fuse Brainrots by combining recipes in the Spawn Machine; it has a small chance of making them Lucky. You can also open Secret Blocks (Lucky) that are dropped on the track to obtain such variants. |

Mutation Tips and Tricks
If players already have a Brainrot with a great mutation, they can, fortunately, use it to transfer that variant to another critter via the Spawn Machine, but the original Brainrot will be lost. This technique works best with cheap characters that have good variants, since losing them won’t hurt as much. To use this method, place a top-rarity Brainrot (Celestial or Divine) in the Spawn Machine along with the critter that has your preferred mutation and fuse them.
Keep in mind that while your Divine or Celestial will receive the mutation, its species may switch. For example, putting in a Din Din Vaultero could result in a Bulbito Bandito Traktorito, which is the most typical Divine. So play smartly!
Another helpful tip is to take advantage of Lucky Storm weather, which changes the mutation of your Lucky Blocks as well as their rarity, size, and levels. This is admin-exclusive weather, and when it hits, you’ll be notified of the area of the course where it’s happening (the timer usually lasts 60 seconds). Simply hold your boxes under the storm and let it strike them. Lucky Storms specifically target your blocks, so there’s no need to panic. Just be sure to dodge the tsunami waves, or you’ll get crushed and have to run back to your blocks, wasting valuable time.

Best Mutations in Escape Tsunami for Brainrots
Here are the top variations to aim for on your creatures in Roblox Escape Tsunami for Brainrots:
- Lucky Mutation is undoubtedly the best, offering the highest multiplier that can boost a creature’s money generation up to ten times. You’ll especially want it on Divine units.
- Diamond Mutation is the second most sought-after, as it can be obtained manually, unlike the Hacker variant. Players trying to find it in the running mini-game, however, may mostly encounter it on low-rarity monsters.
- Gamer Mutation also provides a decent multiplier, and having critters with it is relatively simple. It’s particularly helpful for players in the early to mid-game.
