By newsgame

Ashes of the Damned is ripe with exciting side easter eggs, and one of the best ones will see players conquer the game with Double Points, which lasts for the entire game. This permanent Double Points might be for melee kills only, but it’s an exceptional way to rack up kills and score an infinite amount of Essence to get all your upgrades as early as possible. With this Black Ops 7 Zombies easter egg, you’ll be farming points with ease, and controlling the best loot in both standard maps and Cursed, and here’s exactly what you need to do it.

Ashes of the Damned Main Easter Egg Guide (BO7 Zombies)

Here’s a full step-by-step walkthrough of the main easter egg for Ashes of the Damned in Black Ops 7 Zombies so you can easily complete the quest!

How to Get Permanent Double Points in Ashes of the Damned (Black Ops 7 Zombies)

To start, it’s worth noting that this easter egg involves a fight with an HVT Zursa, which is essentially a miniboss version of the Elite Enemy Zursa bear. However, this boss fight must be completed with a melee weapon only, but you can prepare by having an assortment of Perks, Armor, Weapon Rarity upgrades, and Pack-a-Punch. In order to bring these into the fight, you simply need to pick up your equipment that will be in the boss arena when you spawn in. Failing to pick up your weapons or equipment will result in the game registering that you have no Perks or Armor.

To begin, you will need to get Death Perception, which is a Perk-a-Cola that can be located in the Barn at Vandorn Farm. Once you have Death Perception, you will need to venture through the fog roads, which are either the Crashed Rocket road from Ashwood to Zarya Comsodrome or the Orda Graveyard from Ashwood to Exit 115. Within one of these fog roads, you will find a bear’s footprint (starting closer to the gate from Ashwood). You will need to look at the glowing bear pawprint and interact with it, and then follow the trail of pawprints (interact with each of them) until you reach a cutscene that has a Zursa bear attack you, and spawn you into a mini-boss arena.

Once you spawn in the boss arena, you should immediately pick up your weapons, but do not use them. The reason you want to pick up your equipment is that it will give back your Perks and Armor, even if the HUD says otherwise. Now, you will need to kill the Zursa bear with just your knife (or other melee weapon). If you use any other weapon, you will not receive the reward. Upon killing the bear with just a melee weapon for damage, the bear will explode, and a black orb will float into a chest. Interact with the chest, and the Claw Talisman will pop out. Once you equip the Claw Talisman, you will receive a permanent Double Points for every melee kill for the rest of the game.

To spawn the HVT Zursa quicker (lower rounds mean less health and damage output for enemies), we advise starting the match with the Toxic Growth Field Upgrade. Once your Field Upgrade is ready, use it on the green plants in Janus Towers Plaza and spray them with a fumigator, which will see them burst open with Weapon Rarity upgrades, Mystery Perks, and Pack-a-Punch. We managed to get a Purple-rarity Tier 2 Pack-a-Punch Knife with this method by Round 10!
