To unlock Snow Sculpting, you’ll need to find Azure during the Winter event. First, head to Onsen mountain. A short cutscene will play involving the mayor. After the quest, Azure will appear in the area.

Talk to her and open the Fashionwave Hobby Store. Then, purchase the Snow Sculpting Hobby for 100 Wishing Stars.

Once unlocked, you’ll receive a short tutorial quest that introduces the basics of snow sculpting. Talk to Azure again, and she will also give you a Snowball Machine and a Snow Sculpting Bench to get started. You’ll also get 3 starter snowballs.

How Snow Sculpting Works in Heartopia

Before you can start Snow Sculpting, you need snowballs. Unfortunately, you can’t simply pick up snow from the ground to make them. The only reliable way to get snowballs is by using the Snowball Machine. Once placed in your home, you can turn the machine on and let it run in the background.

While active, it generates one snowball per hour and can store up to twenty snowballs at a time. If you pick the machine up or move it, it will automatically turn off and transfer any stored snowballs into your backpack.

After collecting snowballs, the next step is to place the Snow Sculpting Bench in your home. Interacting with the bench lets you place a snowball on it and begin sculpting.

Once the minigame starts, highlighted points will appear on the screen. Clicking these prompts as they show up increases the quality of your sculpture, while missing them or staying idle can result in a failed attempt. Reacting quickly and accurately improves your chances of producing higher-quality pieces.

When sculpting is complete, you’ll receive a random snow sculpture along with hobby experience, and the final item will be assigned a star rating that affects its value.
