PC Gamers Have 4 Games to Claim Right Now Completely Free of Charge
Since late last year, it seems the number of free PC games available each and every week has only increased. This is impressive given that PC gamers constantly have free games to claim, but Steam, the Epic Games Store, and a cacophony of other platforms are great ways to get games for free or cheap. As of this writing, PC gamers have four games to claim for free.
One of which is the typical free game selection from Epic Games Store—perhaps the most reliable source of free games on PC. Epic Games Store users know to check every Thursday, as it’ll release a free game for a week.
Epic Games Store: A Comprehensive List Of Every Free Game It’s Had To Date
Here’s a list of all the games that have been made free on the Epic Games Store. You have until January 29 to get the current free game.
Meanwhile, Steam’s free game selection (especially ones that are worthwhile) is a bit more erratic. Not only were these games made free at different times, but they also all expire at different times, all noted below. Still, three games can currently be claimed on Steam, and they are all well worth checking out since they are absolutely free to keep.
Free PC Games List This Week
Rustler: Grand Theft Horse is the free Epic Games Store game, and for the uninitiated, it is an open-world action game similar to Grand Theft Auto in spirit. Instead of a modern setting, however, it is set in more medieval times. Players are described as a thug as they commit various crimes and complete quests from a more isometric point of view.
On the Steam front is Along the Edge, Kiki, and Cursedland, with each as different as the name would suggest. Along the Edge, which expires on January 29, is a vibrant, first-person platformer. It requires the player to dodge traps with agility and quick reflexes, focused on parkour-esque jumping. In other words, it feels like the game version of the reality show, American Ninja Warrior. Next is Kiki, expiring January 31, a visual novel for those who want something a little more cerebral. In it, the protagonist Daphne leaves everything behind and heads to the French countryside following the loss of a child and a bad breakup, discovering that she is the last descendant of witches in the process.
Finally, Cursedland is free on Steam until February 1. It is similar to Along the Edge in that both are platformers, but where the former is more of a first-person platformer, Cursedland is 2D. It focuses on precision, reflexes, and mastery, all while navigating a trippy world with surreal humor. Two different platformers, two completely different vibes, and a witchy visual novel are available on Steam, while those looking to commit a little virtual crime have something awaiting them on the Epic Games Store.
