Steam Users Have Until January 31 to Claim New Free Game
Steam users have yet another free game to add to their digital libraries, with Kiki 100% off until January 31. Steam users are treated to free games on a regular basis, and someone that makes sure to snag all the freebies should have an absolutely massive library by now. Sometimes the free Steam games can be kept forever, but other times they are only available for a limited time.
For example, Steam recently made three games free-to-play for a limited time, giving users of the platform the chance to try FBC: Firebreak, Pax Dei, and No Rest for the Wicked without actually buying them. The catch with those games is that even though Steam users can currently play them in their entirety, once the free-to-play window ends, they lose access to them. Luckily, that’s not the case with the full-blown free games that Steam occasionally has on offer, like the latest freebie, for instance.
New Strategy Game on Steam Is Basically Frostpunk If It Loved Food as Much as Against the Storm Loves Punishing City-Builders
This upcoming Steam game takes Frostpunk and Against the Storm’s survival formula and gives its gameplay a wildly unexpected twist.
Kiki is Free on Steam
From now until January 31 at 12:00pm CST, Steam users will be able to claim Kiki 100% free of charge. Kiki is a platforming game that was originally released in 2024, and while it doesn’t have a ton of user reviews just yet, it seems to have earned a mostly mixed reception. Still, fans of 3D platformer games may like Kiki more than others, and there’s no harm in claiming the game and coming to your own conclusions about it. Just keep in mind that the free game giveaway ends on January 31 at 12:00pm CST. At that point, Kiki will revert to its usual asking price of $4.99.
Other Free PC Games You Can Claim Right Now
- Hangman Earth (Microsoft Store) – until January 27
- Rustler (Epic Games Store) – until January 29 at 10:00am CST
Kiki isn’t the only free game that’s currently up for grabs on PC. PC gamers that are willing to use the Epic Games Store have until January 29 to claim Rustler free of charge. Rustler is inspired by the older Grand Theft Auto games, but the twist is that it’s set in medieval times. Oftentimes referred to as “Grand Theft Horse,” Rustler, like Kiki, has received mixed reviews, but also like Kiki, you should just claim it for yourself and see if you like it or not.
We have no idea what the next free Steam game will be after Kiki, but we do know what’s right around the corner for the Epic Games Store. Rustler will be free until January 29 at 10:00am CST, at which point it will be cycled out and replaced by Definitely Not Fried Chicken. Definitely Not Fried Chicken is a business sim about running a fried chicken restaurant that’s a front for a drug empire. The premise appears to have been inspired by Breaking Bad, and any PC gamers interested in trying it out will be able to claim it from January 29 through February 5.
Most of the time, free PC games are relegated to Steam and the Epic Games Store, but there are times when free games are available on other platforms as well. As a matter of fact, there’s a free PC game on the Microsoft Store right now in the form of Hangman Earth. Hangman Earth will be free until January 27, so PC gamers should be sure to claim all the free games that are currently up for grabs while they still can.
