With February right around the corner, Pokemon GO announces another Gen 9 Pokemon coming to the mobile game in an upcoming event.

Pokemon Go Carnival of Flamigo Event Time And Date

The Pokemon GO Carnival of Flamigo event will start on Tuesday, February 3, at 10 AM and will last until Sunday, February 8, 2026, at 8 PM local time. Players have plenty of time to prepare themselves to catch this unusual and popular Pokemon from Paldea, making its debut in the game alongside a colorful number of wild encounters that include:

Lotad
Buneary
Pikipek
Spritzee
Flamigo (debut)

All of the above (except for Flamigo) will have a chance to spawn as Shiny, so be on the lookout for those species to complete your collection. Plus, shiny odds for these Pokemon will be boosted during the event, so eyes up for them, trainers!

Bonuses & Rewards

During the event, players will be able to enjoy various bonus effects that will increase their chances to level up their trainers, catch more Pokemon, and grant extra materials to raise the CP of their teams. The bonuses include:

2× Incense duration.
2× Daily Adventure Incense duration.
500 Additional Stardust for catching Flamigo.
Increased chance to encounter Shiny Lotad, Shiny Spritzee, and Shiny Pikipek.

Timed Research, Field Tasks & Collection Challenge

During the Pokemon GO Carnival Of Flamigo Event, a series of Field Tasks and Collection Challenges involving Lotad, Spritzee, Pikipek, and Buneary will be rolled out. For the moment, only the rewards have been revealed: Stardust and XP, and possibly the encounter with event-themed Pokemon. Still, take this with a pinch of salt until the event begins.

Same for the Field Tasks and rewards. For the moment, it is expected that they propose the usual challenges like: Catching X Number of Pokemon or Spinning PokeStops. As a reward, they will offer encounters with event-themed Pokemon. Some of those encounters might result in a shiny Pokemon spawning.

Remember: Players can re-roll undesired Field Tasks and switch them to easier ones by interacting with the Field Research & Task tab of the menu.

A Free Timed Research is also going to be part of the event, and the rewards include: Two Incense, XP, encounters with event-themed Pokemon, Stardust, and more.

There’s also a Paid Ticket that grants access to an Exclusive Timed Research that will grant extra rewards like a Star Piece and an even-themed Avatar Pose. As per usual, players who want to have these extra rewards will have to pay U$ 4.99 (or the equivalent in their local currency) to unlock the Premium Timed Research and access these rewards.
