Battlefield 6 Season 2 Maps, Vehicles, and Guns Have Leaked

By newsgame

New Battlefield 6 details have emerged, giving players a look at upcoming maps and more in Season 2. The first season has run unexpectedly long, but as it comes to a close and demands for more content rise, attention has largely turned to what’s next for the game. While EA hasn’t said much about Battlefield 6 Season 2, it hasn’t taken long for players to get a sneak peek at the new content before they were supposed to.

Hype around the latest Battlefield game reached a fever pitch leading up to its release, but the shooter has since suffered a decline in popularity. By mid-January, Battlefield 6‘s Steam player count had plummeted by 89% from its peak as fans grew tired of Season 1 and new rivals like ARC Raiders had exploded onto the scene. While Battlefield Studios has made major improvements to performance and progression after some early trouble, it’s still bleeding players, so it will be interesting to see if the next season can turn things around.

Arc Raiders has Battlefield 6 players jumping ship, and the reasons behind it make sense, despite the differences between the two multiplayer games.

Battlefield 6 Leak Reveals New Maps, Weapons, and Vehicles for Season 2

As spotted by Redditor ZamnBoii, a Battlefield 6 leak showcases some Season 2 content coming to the game. The season was initially supposed to start around January 20, but EA delayed Battlefield 6 Season 2 to February 17, citing the need for extra development time in light of community feedback. While it’s unclear what exactly those adjustments will entail, fans now have a better idea of what to expect from Season 2’s main content, most notably, its maps. The leaked cinematic focuses on the first new area coming to the game, Hagental Airbase, a seemingly vehicle-heavy location centering around an airfield, its adjoining hangars, and what seems to be a nearby forest.

The cinematic doesn’t show off the second map, but official Battlefield accounts have recently confirmed a map called Contaminated will also make it into Season 2. Considering how Battlefield 6 Season 1 brought two new maps and one map variation to the game, Contaminated and Hagental Airbase are likely the only brand-new maps incoming, but there could be some smaller updates in store as well. Going back to the leak, it’s difficult to gauge from the trailer how big Hagental Airbase is, but it’s likely on the larger side, given just how prominent tanks, helicopters, and other vehicles are in the cinematic.

Looking beyond the new locations, the latest leak says fans can look forward to a small helicopter and motorcycles being added to the game’s second season. Earlier leaks had claimed that Battlefield 6 Season 2 would feature the AH-6 Little Bird Helicopter that some players grew fond of in pre-launch playtests, so it seems like the Little Bird could be making its full game debut at Hagental. The details about the motorcycle are unclear at the moment, but it is likely similar to the ATV already in the game, perhaps a little faster. Three new guns, namely, the MSBS Grot, VHS-2, and MG5, are also reportedly on their way in Season 2.

Many are holding out hope for different map shapes, new features like naval combat, and new game modes to come to Battlefield 6, but for now, it’s unclear if or when any of this will arrive. Season 2 will likely follow a tiered approach to releasing new content as the first season did, so there’s likely more in store than what players know about now. Looking further, Battlefield 6 could launch four seasons throughout 2026, depending on how long each one takes, so there could be big changes coming down the pipeline. Hopefully, they’re enough for the game to recover some lost ground.
