New ARC Raiders 1.12.0 Update Fixes Controversial Exploit

By newsgame

Developer Embark Studios has kept the ball rolling with its second ARC Raiders update of 2026, as patch 1.12.0 is now available to download on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC. Today’s new ARC Raiders patch may only be a small one, but it addresses some major exploits that fans have been complaining about for weeks now, including one that was (again) allowing players to get out of bounds on the PvP-heavy map, Stella Montis.

The latest update comes just one week after the last ARC Raiders update, which fans had been patiently waiting for over the Christmas period while Embark took a much-deserved break. The studio then returned with the first patch of 2026, known as update 1.11.0, which not only added a highly anticipated cosmetic bundle but also saw some huge nerfs to some fan-favorite weapons and items. The most prominent of the bunch was a damage radius reduction to the Trigger Nade, as the C4-style grenade had been dominating PvP encounters for weeks. Embark also adjusted the time it takes between triggering and detonation from 0.7s to 1.5s, as well as reducing the fire rate of the Kettle from 600 to 450, to prevent players from abusing macros to shoot the weapon faster than intended.

ARC Raiders Could Add Highly Requested Feature as Devs ‘Super Aware’ of Player Demands

Embark addresses the massive amount of requests for saved loadouts in ARC Raiders, as a developer says the studio is “super aware” of player demands.

ARC Raiders Update Fixes Stella Montis Exploit

Ever since the release of ARC Raiders‘ Stella Montis map back in November, players have continued to find more and more ways to exploit it and go out-of-bounds. While Embark has attempted to address this with numerous updates over the last few months, players are still finding alternative ways to glitch their way out of the map. Today’s update takes aim at this controversial exploit once again, as Embark says it has now fixed various out-of-bounds map locations on Stella Montis. Hopefully, this will be the final time that the studio needs to patch the issue, as it has been causing massive controversy among the game’s community for weeks now.

According to the official patch notes, which can be found further down this article, update 1.12.0 also fixes numerous other exploits. Embark seems to have also addressed an issue that was allowing players to duplicate ammo and items, and has also fixed some cases where players were able to damage others from behind geometry. Sadly, that’s all that’s included in the January 20 ARC Raiders update. While some were anticipating the release of a new Toxic Swamp map condition for ARC Raiders today, it looks like players will need to wait a little bit longer, as there has still been no word from Embark on when the next content update will arrive.

The good news is that ARC Raiders seems to have big plans for 2026, as Embark recently teased the community, revealing that multiple new maps will be released over the next 12 months. While there is still no roadmap for 2026, specific details about the new maps remain a mystery, but Embark did say they would all vary in size. The studio added Stella Montis to the game back in November, which shook things up drastically as the map is much smaller in size and consists of tight, winding corridors that quickly became the go-to spot for PvP.

Many fans now believe the next map added to ARC Raiders will be centered around an erupting volcano, as there have been numerous in-game references and dialogue teasing its addition.

Players are also calling for some major quality-of-life improvements, mainly in relation to the game’s UI. Thankfully, Embark says it is “super aware” of the demands for a saved loadout feature in ARC Raiders, which would drastically reduce the amount of time spent in Speranza and get players Topside much quicker. The game’s design lead even admitted that he’ll often run a free loadout to avoid wasting time making another loadout.
