Heartopia Players Are Showing Off Their Impressive House Builds

By newsgame

Heartopia players are flexing their creative muscles with some impressive builds using the hit new indie game’s deep house-building mechanics. The free-to-play Steam game combines elements of other cozy life-sim games like Animal Crossing, The Sims, and Stardew Valley to give players a virtual sandbox to relax, participate in various hobbies like fishing, cooking, and gardening, and create the house of their dreams.

Cozy games have really blown up on Steam in recent years, and Heartopia is the latest title to take the genre by storm. Its free-to-play nature gives Heartopia a very low barrier to entry, and cements it as a worthy competitor to something like Animal Crossing: New Horizons. With a robust set of tools for designing and building their house in Heartopia, some players have let their imagination run wild and crafted some beautiful, cute, and even crazy houses.

Heartopia is not a game you’re meant to rush. Here are some of the best tips and tricks to help out new players.

Heartopia Already Has Some Fantastic Builds to Inspire Other Players

Where to Get Seeds in Heartopia

Heartopia Life-Sized Dollhouse

Reddit user seinisteria shared their massive life-sized dollhouse on the Heartopia subreddit, showcasing its various rooms in a cross-section perspective, much like how a real dollhouse would be displayed. The dollhouse features three stories and a total of nine rooms. While Seinisteria reveals that they are still collecting Heartopia furniture, a piano, a bathtub, and a full kitchen areincluded in their build.

Heartopia Squidward House

Leaning into the more wacky Heartopia builds out there, Reddit user Appropriate_Joke_239 showcases their take on Squidward’s house from SpongeBob, recreated in Heartopia. Squidward’s house is based on an Easter Island Head or Moai statue, which is the inspiration behind this Heartopia house as well. Use Appropriate_Joke_239 also notes that they want to recreate all of Bikini Bottom in Heartopia as well.

Heartopia Minecraft Fox House

Although it’s less of a house and more of a sculpture, Reddit user Tangerine_Proper has created a replica of Minecraft‘s fox mob in Heartopia. This cute build features the fox curled up asleep in a very accurate portrayal of its Minecraft counterpart. The build does still function as a house with an interior accessible by a door in the tail.

Heartopia Japanese-Inspired House

This incredibly elegant Heartopia build was shared by Reddit user AdEquivalent9103 and includes several features inspired by Japanese architecture. However, AdEquivalent9103 notes that they had to spend around 600-700 Heart Diamonds to obtain all the house’s fixtures, and that they struggled to get the roofs to stack correctly. But the results speak for themselves, and many commenters were envious of AdEquivalent9103 work.

Heartopia New York Apartment

Another impressively detailed Heartopia house build comes from Reddit user ellychu, who built an entire apartment building inspired by New York City. This build includes two full apartment structures connected by a fire escape staircase, and reportedly took ellychu around 3 hours to finish.

Heartopia 7-11 Convenience Store

Reddit user vvonivel also made a non-house build in Heartopia, crafting a surprisingly on-point representation of a 7-11 convenience store in the game. The store not only features accurate 7-11 branding on the outside, but a fully-stocked store on the inside for Heartopia players to roleplay a convenience store simulation within the game.

Heartopia Minecraft Weaponsmith House

Minecraft-themed houses seem to be a popular build option for Heartopia players, with Reddit user Sea-Significance5909 creating a replica of a Weaponsmith’s house from Minecraft. The Weaponsmith’s house can be found in Minecraft Villages and features a furnace and lava pool on the exterior, which Sea-Significance5909 has included in their build. On the inside, this Heartopia build is much more homey than its Minecraft inspiration, being fully furnished compared to the bare essentials and a single chest usually found in the Minecraft version.
