The Residence Walkthrough In Little Nightmares (Chapter 3)
The Residence is the final chapter in the Secrets of The Maw DLC in Little Nightmares. The Kid needs to solve many puzzles to gather the missing statues before meeting the Lady at the end. Although Six managed to escape victorious in the end, the same thing can’t be said for the Runaway Kid.
The Hideaway Complete Walkthrough In Little Nightmares (Secrets Of The Maw)
The Kid needs the help of Nomes to reach the next area of The Maw in Little Nightmares.
The Residence Walkthrough In Little Nightmares
Start the Residence chapter with the Kid still on top of the elevator.
Climb the bars to the left and jump to cling on the hook. Swing back and forth to jump to the right and go through the window.
Crawl through the hole, and the Kid will end up in the Lady’s Quarters.
Head right and enter the second archway you see.
Climb the table and pull the rope to turn on the lamp. Climb the shelves and open the first flotsam.
Proceed forward and crouch, then walk slowly across the room as quietly as possible. That’s because the Lady is inside, combing her hair.
Next, climb to the second floor and slide the ladder to the right and climb it to get to the third floor.
Use the pile of books as leverage and pull the lever to turn on the globe.
To solve this puzzle, the Kid must shine three lights on the eyes above to close them. The horizontal lever determines which light you are controlling, and the button rotates said light. You need to use a combination of both to force the three eyes closed with lights. The starting positions of the lights are different in all playthroughs, so you need to mess around with the lever and button until you figure it out.
Once all three eyes are closed, aim the flashlight at the fourth eye to the right, which unlocks the door.
Turn on the flashlight and go to the next room filled with statues. Once you arrive at the portrait walls, players must press the buttons in the correct order to solve the puzzle:
- Second portrait on the left wall.
- First, second, and fourth portraits on the central wall.
- Second portrait on the right wall.
Navigate to the newly opened room and ignore the statue in favor of sliding through the tiny hole in the wall.
Open the second flotsam near the three statues with an offering.
Get back outside and grab the statue, then take cover as a petrifying eye will suddenly open.
Use the shadows of the statues to safely reach the left side and then throw the statue at the button to open the door.
Grab it again and run back to the light puzzle, ignoring the curious shadows, then use the small elevator to go down.
Go downstairs to the bottom floor and turn right to place the statue on the triangle spot.
Climb the stairs again and head right to enter a library. Push the ladder to the left and climb it.
When you see the book on top, grab it and throw it onto the floor, then drop the Kid to the ground.
Turn right and grab the blue book and insert it in the gap to the right to complete the pattern.
Next, grab the red book you threw from the top and place it in the center-right bookcase.
Finally, get the yellow book and put it in the gap located in the center-left bookcase.
Push the secret entrance open and grab the fake statue from the table.
Get out of the library and head to the left room on the second floor where the real statue is. Remove the real one from the pedestal, which activates a trap, and quickly replace it with the fake statue.
Go to the bottom floor and put the real statue on the square spot. This will turn off any light source in the quarters, so make sure to walk with the flashlight.
If players are not interested in the Ashes to Ashes Trophy, ignore the steps concerning the book and proceed normally.
Now it’s the perfect time to unlock the Ashes to Ashes Trophy in Little Nightmares. Head back to the library and grab the remaining book with a white mask on it.
Go to the bottom floor and head left to the room where the Lady was brushing her hair. Drop the book immediately and aim the flashlight, as some shadows will attack the Kid.
After the fight, proceed left and place the book in the bookcase near the elevator.
This unlocks a secret room to the left with a jar on the table. Climb it and push the jar to break it, which earns you the Ashes to Ashes Achievement.
Go back to the Lady’s room and climb the left table to get the key.
Head to the second floor and use the elevator to ascend to the third, then open the locked door to the left.
In the corridor, walk towards the camera to see the third flotsam.
All The Hideaway Flotsam Locations In Little Nightmares (Is Anybody Out There Trophy)
Collect the flotsams in the Hideaway chapter while hugging Nomes in Little Nightmares.
As you head inside the next room, prepare the flashlight, as enemies will attack from every angle. When you aim the light at one, try to back off slowly and not get too close, or else you’ll die.
Keep going while evading enemies and drag the chair towards the camera to use it as leverage and pull the lever. Some shadows might attack while dragging the chair, so be careful.
Head into the next room to fight more shadows. At the end, climb the ladder to land in another section.
Walk to the shelf on the corner and cross to the other side. Jump towards the ladder and go down.
Here, the Kid must rotate the big lever to open the door while fending off the shadows. It requires patience since the door will close slowly when you let go of the lever.
After successfully fighting the shadows, enter the room and jump up on the piano. Walk on the keys a couple of times to open a secret compartment behind the painting. Unlock the fourth flotsam.
Approach the statue that looks like The Maw and hang from its handle to open it, revealing the final statue. Jump and pull the light sconce to open the door leading to the room where players placed the fake statue.
Run towards the right room on the bottom floor and insert the final statue in the circle spot.
In the next section of the quarters, the Lady is seen without her mask, staring into a mirror. Once she spots the Kid and realizes he has seen her true face, she’s enraged and turns off all lights to disappear.
Quickly proceed forward and run between the mannequins as the Lady is following you, and players will eventually reach a corridor.
Go into the right room first and walk towards the end to open the final flotsam, unlocking the I’m Losing You Achievement.
All The Depths Flotsam Locations In Little Nightmares (Not Alone Trophy)
Players need to be on the lookout for all 5 flotsams in The Depths if they wish to get the Not Alone Trophy in Little Nightmares.
Return to the corridor and run towards the camera, then turn left to find an empty room. Go outside to see the door to the right is open.
As the Kid is running forward, the Lady appears and catches him.
After some time, the Kid wakes up as a Nome.
Navigate your way out of the door cracks and jump down. Use the laundry basket as an elevator to go down.
Walk past the Guests eating and jump through the hole in the next room.
Go through another hole to the left to arrive at the same room where Six lost control and ate a Nome, which is revealed to be the Runaway Kid. The Residence chapter ends with the Nome (Kid) staring at the sausage on the ground, and you’ll get the We’ll Meet Again Trophy.
