The X-Ray is one of the more advanced tools in Quarantine Zone: The Last Check, allowing players to inspect the organs of survivors for signs of infection. However, these can be hard to spot at first, and initially, only one organ symptom is known. This guide will walk players through each step of using the X-Ray in Quarantine Zone, and show them all the damaged organ symptoms to look out for.

At a basic level, using the X-Ray is simple; you hold down (LMB/RT/R2) and move the screen around to investigate different parts of the body, looking for damaged or irregular organs. However, there are also different view settings to toggle between, using the (Scroll Wheel/RB+Y/R1+Triangle).

There are four view settings, and the pictures below show how they should look when healthy:

Base

Shows all organs at once.

Low

Shows the upper organs, making the bottom clear.

Top

Quarantine Zone The Last Check - X-Ray - Top

Shows the lower organs and brain, making the top clear.

All

Quarantine Zone The Last Check - X-Ray - All

Doesn’t show any organs, making it ideal for spotting contraband.

These are important, as the brain can only be seen when in Top mode, for example, and other organs can be seen better in Low or Top.

It’s also possible to zoom in using (RMB/LT/L2), and players should also examine from behind, as is the case with many tools.

Players will need to complete the Ask Your Mom quest in Quarantine Zone: The Last Check, which requires them to find graffiti poems around camp.

All X-Ray Organ Symptoms In Quarantine Zone: The Last Check

When the X-Ray is unlocked, players will only know about the Internal Bleeding symptom. However, they can find new symptoms and use the Laboratory to confirm, unlocking these symptoms for the chart.

Internal Bleeding – Sickness

Organ bleeding from every vessel, red and scar-covered.

Internal Bleeding can be a bit hard to spot, as it looks different on each organ.

Color Differences – Sickness Or Infection

Non-standard organ colors.

Once players know the colors of all the healthy organs, spotting those that are the wrong color, often light purple, becomes easy.

Moldy Organ – Infection

Organ covered with green/blue spores or mold.

If you spot a organ with this color and small bumps, this target is infected and should be killed.

Fatty Hepatosis – Sickness

Common fatty hepatosis is caused by a poor diet.

The organ will be yellow and look like it’s rotting, but it doesn’t imply infection.

Organ Necrosis – Infection

This has black splotches.

If the organs aren’t purple or blue in color and don’t have black splotches, then the survivor is fine.

A few days after unlocking the X-Ray machine, players will be informed that survivors are resorting to smuggling contraband inside their own bodies. This can be spotted with the X-Ray on the All setting, where no organs are shown. If players see anything, they should mark it by pressing (E/X/Square) while using the X-Ray. It will be highlighted in orange.

A new colleague will then remove the contraband. Walk over to the man in the white hazmat suit with a tray, and press to have him remove the item. This will appear on the tray, and players can confiscate it.
