Black Ops 7 Players Should Check Their Black Ops 6 Battle Pass

Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 players who have been grinding the game’s Multiplayer over the last few days and also own Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 may want to return to the 2024 shooter to check out their Season 6 Battle Pass. As Season 1 of Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 has yet to begin, Season 6 of Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 is still ongoing, but anybody who has moved on to the latest entry in the series should be aware that the current season’s Battle Pass can be leveled up in both games.

With Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 now available, support for Black Ops 6 is set to come to an end. However, the title’s big Season 6 update is still ongoing. To bid farewell to Black Ops 6, developer Treyarch Studios released one final content update last month, adding a new collaboration with Predator, three new multiplayer maps, plenty of new weapons, and more. As for Warzone fans, Season 6 saw the return of some Halloween-themed modes, such as Zombie Royale, as well as the highly anticipated return of Verdansk and Rebirth Island night variants.

Black Ops 7 Players Can Level Up Black Ops 6’s Battle Pass

Black Ops 6 and Warzone‘s Season 6 update also brought fans one final Battle Pass to level up. However, as the launch of Black Ops 7 has arrived before the end of Season 6, many may have moved on before completing the Pass and unlocking all the rewards. The good news is that those who have been grinding Black Ops 7 and earning XP have also been simultaneously leveling up Black Ops 6‘s Season 6 Battle Pass without even realizing it. This means players can return to Black Ops 6 and claim the rewards they’ve earned so far.

There is a downside to this, however, as Activision canceled the Carry Forward feature for Black Ops 7. Outside of Double XP tokens, Gobblegums, and a handful of certain Operator Skins, the majority of cosmetic items unlocked or purchased in Black Ops 6 cannot be brought forward into Black Ops 7. So, while it’s great that the recent Battle Pass can be levelled up in both titles, players who are looking to permanently move to the latest entry in the series will need to leave their skins and weapons blueprints behind.

This isn’t the first time that Call of Duty has allowed players to level up a seasonal Battle Pass in two different entries. Back in 2024, fans quickly discovered that Modern Warfare 3‘s final Battle Pass could be levelled up in Black Ops 6. While this is great news for players who plan on playing both games, the lack of Carry Forward makes it largely redundant. But, with that being said, Double XP tokens can be unlocked in the Battle Pass, so it’s one way for players to get their hands on even more tokens.
