Fortnite Leak Reveals Collab With Major Anime Franchise

Ahead of an official announcement, the next huge anime Fortnite collab has been leaked online, promising Solo Leveling content within the next month. Fortnite is no stranger to collabs, providing over 400 unique collaboration skins throughout its many years. Of these collaborations, one community that has never been neglected is anime fans, seeing characters from Dragon Ball all the way to Attack on Titan make an appearance in Fortnite. This has left extreme demand from certain fan bases to see their favorite anime added to Fortnite.

A Fortnite and Solo Leveling collab has been rumored for many months, and, based on the feedback from fans, it’s clear to see that Epic Games would be making the correct move. Due to a large crossover between both fan bases, anime has become a central part of Fortnite‘s identity, with Solo Leveling itself being requested more than once. Many previous collabs have brought content such as new skins or even weapons from said franchise, leaving Solo Leveling fans a lot to look forward to. Despite these various rumors over previous months, it never felt more than an event for the far distant future that Solo Leveling would be the next crossover, but thanks to new leaks, that mindset can now change.

A new leak from Fortnite is suggesting that Epic Games is gearing up to announce an unexpected new crossover coming to the battle royale.

Fortnite Leakers Reveal Solo Leveling Collaboration

A tweet by a reliable Fortnite leaker who correctly leaked the Bleach collaboration, SamLeakss, simply reads, “SOLO LEVELING x FORTNITE THIS SEASON.” This tweet seems to reinforce the aforementioned rumors, yet no further information on the contents of this collab has been provided. Another trusted Fortnite leaker also posted a tweet at the same time, seconding this information and adding, “Likely only 1 month more after a very long wait!!”

While the exact significance of this crossover is unclear, previous collaborations between Fortnite and anime have almost always resulted in new skins and themed weapons. Battle Pass exclusives are also not out of the question for Solo Leveling, given Fortnite‘s implementation of a tier 100 Darth Vader skin, meaning players may have to put a little bit of money into getting their favorite skins. Despite the information about the rumored collaboration currently being sparse, the reception from fans of both franchises has been largely positive, perhaps due to how well Fortnite has handled anime crossovers in the past, albeit with some reluctance due to minor errors. Certain fans have sided with the idea that any exposure is good for both the anime itself and Fortnite, but some other Solo Leveling fans think the constant merging of franchises into Fortnite ruins their legacy.

From the sounds of the leaks, Fortnite could be in for a brilliant collaboration with Solo Leveling if done correctly. Many much-wanted skins and iconic weapons could be implemented, providing a unique spin on the classic battle-royale gameplay. The only point of contention among fans is the possibility of locking skins behind the Battle Pass quests rather than making them available outright, as shown through Fortnite‘s Superman Battle Pass skin controversy. Granted the leaks are correct, fans will have to wait and see how the collaboration ultimately turns out, although it’s safe to say this crossover will most likely be here sooner rather than later.
