LEGO Reveals Upcoming Pokemon Sets

By newsgame

LEGO and The Pokemon Company officially reveal the first ever sets coming very soon in 2026, while also announcing a special trainer challenge for fans to take part in as well. The LEGO brand continues in its massive popularity, thanks to the continued release of new collections and sets, many of which crossover with well-known IPs and franchises. Fans have already seen plenty of announcements for sets featuring Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter, Marvel, and much more.

In fact, Nintendo has continued to branch out with the LEGO brand, with a number of big collaborations planned for 2026. Last year, fans saw a tease for a new Legend of Zelda LEGO set launching in 2026, though details remain very slim on it. Animal Crossing is also seeing another set launch in 2026, though the arrival of a smaller “polybag” set has left many a little underwhelmed. However, for many fans, the biggest news was the confirmation of a new partnership between LEGO and The Pokemon Company, with the two companies finally showcasing the new sets that will be available very soon.

You don’t have to wait until 2026 to get LEGO Pokemon, but it will make your wallet cry

For LEGO fans that don’t want to wait until 2026 to get their hands on new sets, there is an alternative option, though it isn’t cheap.

LEGO Announces First Pokemon Sets for 2026

While numerous LEGO Pokemon leaks have likely sapped some of the surprise out of these sets, fans now have the official announcement and details to look over, as well as confirmed prices and a launch date for each set. While there’s likely more on the way later in 2026, for now, these sets will be launching towards the end of next month on February 27.

Here are the confirmed LEGO Pokemon sets for 2026 so far:

LEGO Pokemon Pikachu and Poke Ball

The first set revealed is of one of the most recognizable creatures from the franchise, Pikachu. It’s a 2,050-piece set showing Pikachu jumping out of the Pokeball and comes with a black lightning rod-shaped base and lightning energy emitting from the Pokeball. Fans can also pose Pikachu either in a “dynamic battle stance” or in a more seated pose with a closed Pokeball.

The set also comes with some Easter eggs for fans to discover, including a “25” displayed on the base, which represents Pikachu’s PokeDex number from the Pokemon franchise. The set comes in at $199.99 USD.

LEGO Pokemon Venusaur, Charizard, and Blastoise

The second set highlights the evolved versions of the three starting pocket monsters from the original Pokemon Red and Blue games. This impressively huge set comes in with a whopping 6,838 LEGO pieces and allows the builder to either position them all together on an action base or individually. The action base itself also features additional design details based on each Pokemon’s biome, such as a wave for Blastoise, a flower garden for Venusaur, and some sort of volcano or magma perch for Charizard.

However, the post is quick to mention that in addition to faithfully captured designs, each model also has its own unique articulation, with arms, tails, and more being able to be positioned by the builder. This one is also going to be quite expensive as well, costing $649.99, but it also comes with a special pre-order bonus of the LEGO Pokemon Kanto Region Badge Collection as well.

LEGO Pokemon Eevee

The final confirmed set is of the Normal-type Evolution Pokemon known as Eevee. The smallest of the trio of sets, Eevee comes in at only 587 pieces, but like the other collections, it features a movable tail, head, and limbs to allow the builder to pose it how they want. Eevee can also be built with the Build Together app, allowing friends and family to work together on it.

The smaller set also means a much smaller price tag, as this one comes in at a much more affordable $59.99 USD.

Trainer Challenge

In addition to the announced sets, the post also kicked off a special Scavenger Hunt that fans can take part in. From January 12 to February 27, fans can try and find hidden LEGO Pokemon clues across digital content and sites for both LEGO and Pokemon, which unlocks rewards with some bigger prizes on the line, including the above three sets. However, the Grand Prize winner will be invited to the PokemonXP and the 2026 Pokemon World Championships in San Francisco.

Interested fans can pre-order the sets now before each of the collections go on sale starting on February 27, 2026. Considering how highly anticipated these sets were and how quickly new Pokemon Trading Card Game expansions have typically sold out online, it stands to reason that the demand for these collections could be very high.
