Best Corporation to Level Up First in StarRupture

By newsgame

StarRupture throws a lot at you very early, and one of the most important systems you’ll interact with is the corporation progression system. Shortly after landing on Arcadia-7, you’re introduced to Orbital Cargo Launchers and corporate delivery missions that shape how your base, character, and production lines evolve over time.

There are five different corporations to choose from in StarRupture. Each corporation has its own set of delivery missions, rewards, and level caps. Knowing which one to upgrade early on in your playthrough can save you hours of grinding and frustration. This guide breaks down exactly which corporations you should upgrade first, why they matter, and how to approach leveling them efficiently without overwhelming yourself.

You won’t have access to grenades from the beginning of StarRupture, but they’re an incredibly useful crowd control option once you unlock them.

How to Level Up Corporations in StarRupture

Once the tutorial ends, the Corporate Terminal inside your habitat unlocks access to five corporations. There are two main ways to level up corporations in StarRupture.

The first is by spending Data Points, which you can earn through the Analyzing Station. This method is perfect if you’re still very early in the game, since the initial levels are relatively cheap. However, it’s better to save your Data Points and use them to unlock new recipes instead when upgrade costs rise.

The second method is exporting materials, which is comparatively easier but takes more time. By building an Orbital Cargo Launcher, you can view each corporation’s required items and set up production lines to send those materials into orbit.

In the early game, most required materials are already available through basic structures unlocked during the tutorial. This means you can easily push certain corporations up without worrying about resources.

A good general rule is to bring all corporations to level two first, since those early unlocks are relatively cheap and will reward you with all the essential baseline features. After that, you can start prioritizing specific factions that have the biggest impact on progression.

Your first priority should be upgrading the Moon Energy Corporation to level three. Even though the Recipe Station unlocked earlier isn’t especially useful right away, the Map reward from level 3 is an absolute must-have. The Map helps you plan routes, locate resources, and understand the layout of Arcadia-7 without wandering blindly.

Next, you should focus on the Selenian Corporation, starting with level two. This upgrade unlocks the Fabricator. Many early and mid-game delivery orders depend on items crafted in the Fabricator, and having access to it makes setting up reliable production lines much smoother. As you continue investing in Selenian later on, you’ll also get access to resource-gathering structures like the Helium-3 Extractor and Sulfur Extractor. This makes it one of the most important corporations in the game.

Next, it’s highly recommended to bring Griffits Blue Corporation to level two. This gives you your first proper weapon to take down enemies. As you level Griffits Blue further, it also unlocks combat-focused structures like the Equipment Upgrade Station.

After this, it’s a good idea to upgrade Clever Robotics to level two and unlock Personal Storage. Personal Storage gives you a dedicated place inside your habitat to store excess items in StarRupture. While not flashy, this upgrade makes the game feel much less cluttered.

That said, it’s entirely possible to design your production lines so they support all five corporations simultaneously. However, if you’re aiming to unlock key upgrades as quickly as possible, it’s best to concentrate your efforts on the Selenian and Griffits Blue corporations.
