New & Upcoming 2026 PC Games

In 2026, a million new PC games will come to Steam. That is the case every single year, and that should continue until the end of time. Due to the sheer volume of new releases, the PC video game calendar is so absurdly overstacked that keeping track of everything coming out is futile and frustrating. However, that also means that people with a computer almost always have dozens of upcoming games that suit their preferences, be it massive AAA titles or small indie projects that just might take Steam by storm.

Although we will not even pretend that we can cover everything, this article will provide a fairly comprehensive overview of all the major 2026 PC games that will hopefully define the year positively. For the most part, Steam’s upcoming releases page has been used as a reference since that is mostly players’ store of choice; that said, other big games will also be highlighted.

January 2026 PC Games Release Calendar

Pathologic, Code Vein, Highguard, 2XKO, & More

January 2026 is not as stacked as its successors, but the month is especially kind to PC players. Pathologic 3 is one of the biggest releases of the month, particularly for anyone who enjoys horror games that can get under their skin. If you are primarily into fighting games, 2XKO might just be the genre’s biggest release of 2026, especially since it is being developed by Riot. Highguard is another live-service game that could be fun, even though its reveal trailer was not positively received.

Nioh, Resident Evil, Dragon Quest, & More

Don’t worry if January 2026’s upcoming PC games lineup had nothing for you, as the year will really pick up in February. The month has two particularly huge releases: Nioh 3 and Resident Evil Requiem. Both of these games have shown and said all the right things leading up to their debuts, and there is nothing to suggest that they will fail to live up to their franchises’ reputations.

February 2026’s new PC games include Reanimal, Dragon Quest 7 Reimagined, Yakuza Kiwami 3, Romeo is a Dead Man, and Styx: Blades of Greed, and that is merely scratching the surface of the month’s offerings.

March 2026 PC Games Release Calendar

Crimson Desert, Toxic Commando, Fatal Frame, & More

Although it is still too early to definitively say, March could very well be remembered as 2026’s best month for new games, at least in terms of sheer quantity. Fatal Frame II: Crimson Butterfly Remake is a pretty big deal for the horror genre, as the original game is considered an all-time great. John Carpenter’s Toxic Commando should be an entertaining co-op zombie shooter, and we could always use a few more of those. Crimson Desert looks set to be a huge action-adventure game with awesome real-time combat, and you do not need to be a big Black Desert Online fan to enjoy it. Nova Roma is for strategy fans, while Mouse: PI For Hire is for those who want a unique shooter.

April 2026 PC Games Release Calendar

Pragmata, Diablo 4, & More

April has barely begun to take shape, but the announced games are pretty massive. Capcom’s Pragmata looks like it could be one of the weirdest third-person shooters ever, but the developer’s track record is generally great. Diablo 4 will get its next big expansion in April 2026, with “Lord of Hatred” debuting to a hopefully rapturous reception. Invincible VS should be incredible and bloody.

007, Lego Batman, & More

While this section still has a long way to go, May 2026 already has Lego Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight and 007 First Light, two titles that should be among the year’s best action-adventures. The former will adopt the Arkham series’ combat system, which should make for a fun twist on the Lego formula. 007 First Light has gone through a delay, but it should eventually arrive.
