Minecraft Player Builds Hawkins National Laboratory From Stranger Things
A talented Minecraft player online has shown off their incredible recreation of Hawkins National Laboratory from Stranger Things. Although Stranger Things may have recently come to an end, the tributes are still rolling in for the Netflix series, as shown by this amazing Minecraft creation.
At its core, Minecraft is about embracing creativity, and over the years, players have used the tools at their disposal to create some awesome things. Some bring totally original creations to life, while others instead choose to pay tribute to their favorite franchises in the game. Just recently, there was another Minecraft player who was creating a massive Halo-inspired world, showing off the game’s potential when players are ambitious and want to bring something huge to life. This creativity is at the heart of Minecraft‘s longevity – there are infinite things for players to build. It’s why the game has remained so popular for so long, and why it will continue to stand the test of time for many years to come.

This is What Hawkins National Laboratory Looks Like in Minecraft
Talented Minecraft player Wok_Creative over on Reddit shared their amazing recreation of Hawkins National Laboratory as seen in Stranger Things. While the images of the build only show the exterior, Wok_Creative claims it can be explored, so it would be interesting to see the interior, too. The Minecraft build itself is awesome, and looks just like the location as it appears in the now-concluded Netflix series, and Wok_Creative has even used some prop blocks to represent Mike, Will, Lucas, and Dustin exploring. According to the creator, this recreation of Hawkins National Laboratory is only available to explore on the World of Keralis server.
Fans in the thread were extremely impressed by Wok_Creative’s efforts, with one user describing it as a “great way of remembering the show.” However, others had an idea that could push this Minecraft Stranger Things build to another level. Some suggested fully duplicating the build to make an upside-down version, while others felt a version made in the Nether would suffice. Regardless, it’s a cool idea and is arguably the only way to make this recreation of Hawkins National Laboratory even more screen-accurate.
While Stranger Things may have reached its conclusion, that doesn’t mean that the series’ legacy is going away. Following the end of the series, a Minecraft Stranger Things DLC was released for the Bedrock Edition, allowing players to use skins based on the TV show and explore more locations around Hawkins. It’s almost the perfect companion to Wok_Creative’s recreation of Hawkins National Laboratory, and a sign of Stranger Things‘ massive cultural impact. Although some felt that Stranger Things‘ final season was a disappointing end to a journey spanning nearly 10 years, there is no doubt that there will be many more fan tributes for years to come.
Despite its age, Minecraft is arguably more relevant than ever, with tons of updates still improving the game on a regular basis. In late 2024, Mojang changed it so that Minecraft would receive smaller content drops more regularly, rather than just one major update per year. This decision has helped make the game more relevant, as players are given reasons to return to the game more regularly. The first game drop of this year revealed new versions of baby farm mobs coming to Minecraft in 2026, although the update currently has no release date. Fans should look out for even more game drops throughout 2026 to see what Mojang has been working on.
