How To Farm Data Points Easy in StarRupture
StarRupture has a core mechanic called ‘The Rupture‘, which is a total-annihilation event happening planet-wide. In other words: an entire map wipe. This will not only alter how the planet looks, but also spawn special resources and, if players are not careful, reduce them to atoms. This is one of the most distinctive things about this survival open-world game.
The good thing about it is that in The Rupture lies the secret to farming tons of Data Points with ease. Players might have noticed that after the Rupture, a lot of minerals and Meteorites fall to the ground. Among them, there’s a special resource called Ignitium. This is not only a valuable resource for crafting, but it is worth lots of Data Points.
A bundle of 5 Ignitium is worth 2000 Data Points, and getting them is as easy as paying attention to two signs: An orange glow in the horizon and smoke coming out of the ground.
Players should be careful, though, since Ignitium disintegrates fast and can only be farmed during the early hours after a Rupture. Players need to gather as much as possible, then run to the Analysis Station in their Base to drop the Ignitium and score tons of Data Points.
The second method to farm Data Points while the Rupture is inactive, can be done by exploring the map and killing Vermin. These annoying arachnids drop valuable biological samples that players need to collect after defeating them, then take to the Analysis Station to score some extra Data Points.
The third and final method is the most complex and difficult to achieve, but by far the most lucrative. Players need to spot Fallen Drones, Former Colonist bodies, and explore the ruins of previous ClayWood Corporation survey teams to get Broken Pieces of Technology. These come in various shapes and sizes, and yield from 400 to 2000 Data Points, depending on their quality.

Players can also get Data Points by delivering Plant Samples and Meteorite Cores to the Analysis Station, though this method is not recommended, as these resources are far more valuable than the meager Data Point rewards they yield when delivered.
It is worth noting that Data Points are not only used to increase Faction (Corporation) levels and unlock new recipes in the Corporation Terminal, but also unlock more recipes and upgrades for buildings in the Recipe Station, which is unlocked upon reaching Level 1 with Moon Energy Corporations (Requires 100 Titanium Bars).
Some of the highest faction levels require thousands of Data Points to unlock, but the good thing is that delivering Data Points replaces the need to deliver Material Commissions through the Orbital Launcher Stations.
