Dispatch’s Platinum Trophy is Bugged

Dispatch‘s episodic, choice-based design makes it seem like a simple game to earn all the trophies for, and while that is largely true, it is currently impossible due to a bug. As of this writing, AdHoc Studio has not officially confirmed that there is a trophy bug, but there is plenty of anecdotal evidence from Dispatch players to prove it is true.

Throughout Dispatch, players are tasked with several choices that will result in differing trophies. Some of these are based on big story moments, which Dispatch character is romanced, or silly choices throughout the game (such as which donut to pick or which item to get from the store), but a handful of them are gameplay-related. Of those, some of them are based on the iconic dispatch gameplay, and others are based on the hacking missions as Robert. It is precisely this trophy, “H4ck3d by R0b3rt” that is bugged, preventing players from claiming the Platinum Trophy.

Dispatch’s Trophy Bug is Awaiting a Fix

Hacked by Robert requires players to “complete every hacking segment in the game without failing a single one.” It is not clear if this only counts the required hacking segments in Dispatch‘s main story or the optional ones that are found in some missions; regardless, several players have attempted every angle possible, including hidden hacking missions like the one to save Flambae when he is sabotaged, without failing and have not been awarded. As such, both it and the Platinum Trophy (Dispatched) are currently impossible to obtain in Dispatch.

Reddit posts, forum posts, and social media posts show that there is a high interest in obtaining this Dispatch trophy, and several of those also include players discussing various possible methods to unlock it. Overall, though, it is clearly bugged and broken. For now, fans can only wait for an official update from AdHoc Studio on how to fix the bug and will have to fulfill its requirements post-patch to unlock this trophy and the Platinum Trophy. While unfortunate, there is one silver lining to this.

Chances are, Dispatch fans have already completed its 8-episode run and have unlocked every trophy except these two—at least those who intend to as well. Unless it is unlocked once the bug is fixed, which feels unlikely, it means players will have to play Dispatch again. Its short runtime, excellent story, and engaging gameplay mean that this is less of a punishment and more time in the world of SDN, at least until Dispatch Season 2 happens (hopefully).
