One ARC Raiders Group is Completely Dedicated to Saving Downed Players

By newsgame

A group of ARC Raiders players is taking up a noble cause in the game, saving downed players from both the ARC enemies and other hostile gamers. The extraction shooter’s universal acclaim since its October launch owes in no small part to the engaging gameplay it brings to the table. ARC Raiders has seen heavy praise from fans for its variety of interesting weapons and the complex environments players can explore while looting resources and battling with enemies. However, ARC Raiders is far from just a PvE experience for many of its players.

Other players can often be just as fearsome as ARC Raiders‘ AI-controlled enemies, thanks to the game’s combination of PvP and PvE gameplay. While players can work together to battle enemies and collect loot, the shooter also gives them plenty of ways to try out a more aggressive ARC Raiders playstyle. Much like other extraction shooters, players will drop their loot when killed in ARC Raiders, increasing the risk of losing a significant amount of resources to others more focused on the game’s PvP elements. Now, a group of players is looking to lend a helping hand to those players focused on PvE.

New Group “Rescue Raiders” is Focused on Helping Players

A helpful group of ARC Raiders players has been growing in size and popularity, aimed at benefiting players not engaging in PvP. The group refers to itself as the “Rescue Raiders,” with the subreddit boasting more than 95,000 weekly visitors on the ARC Raiders-focused forum. The description on the Rescue Raiders subreddit refers to the group as “keeping the peace by any means necessary,” focusing on helping other players. The subreddit’s rules even set out guidelines for new Rescue Raiders members, including not engaging with ARC Raiders‘ PvP unless shot at by another player and advising fans not to “pre-stack” lobbies in their favor.

The commitment of Rescue Raiders to helping other friendly players has seen the group continue to grow. Videos on the subreddit showcase several different situations, ranging from helping players go for extractions to stopping aggressive groups within ARC Raiders. PvP in ARC Raiders has been a point of controversy for many players throughout the game’s life, with some fans even wanting Embark Studios to create PvP and PvE-exclusive lobbies for ARC Raiders. The game was originally intended to be a purely PvE experience, with ARC Raiders only adding its PvP gameplay later in the game’s development cycle.

ARC Raiders Has Been a Breakout Hit for Embark Studios

ARC Raiders‘ seamless mix of PvP and PvE elements has helped the game to achieve astounding success within its first two months. The shooter quickly became one of the hottest games for many streamers, peaking at 250,000 concurrent players on its launch day and reaching as high as 700,000 players. ARC Raiders has even already received its first major award, with the game winning “Best Multiplayer Game” honors at the 2025 Game Awards. Some fans, like popular streamer Shroud, have even suggested that ARC Raiders should have won Game of the Year at the annual ceremony.

The wildly popular launch of ARC Raiders comes as the shooter looks to have plenty more in store for fans. Embark Studios has pushed consistent updates for the extraction shooter nearly every week, including the recent Cold Snap update, adding new winter weather conditions to multiple different maps. The developer has not given fans many teasers about what’s to come for the shooter in 2026, though new maps are expected to be a focus with weekly updates likely returning after the new year. ARC Raiders looks primed to continue its strong early momentum into 2026 with a plethora of new content for players to explore.
