No W-Engine can give Ye Shunguang what Cloudcleave Radiance can give in ZZZ. The S-Rank W-Engine is Ye Shunguang’s best-in-slot since it’s her signature weapon.

Cloudcleave Radiance grants Ye Shunguang around 73% Crit DMG, which is an insane buff considering Ye Shunguang gets more Crit DMG from her Core Passive. It also buffs her DMG by 25% on top of reducing enemies’ resistance to Physical DMG, which is exactly what she needs.

Similar to Cloudcleave Radiance, Severed Innocence greatly increases Ye Shunguang’s Crit DMG and allows her to benefit from all the extra Crit Rate she gets from her stats, Core Passive, and Drive Discs. While she doesn’t benefit from the last part of its passive, the Crit DMG buffs alone are enough to make it one of her best W-Engines in Zenless Zone Zero.

Cordis Germina is also viable for Ye Shunguang. She won’t benefit from the extra Electric DMG buff, but can still use the DEF ignore part.

Given that she gets a lot of Crit value from her kit, you can build Ye Shunguang with W-Engines like The Brimstone. As she attacks, she will start building its stacks, which buff her ATK% alongside Brimstone’s substat. All those extra ATK% stats will eventually multiply and amplify Ye Shunguang’s DMG when she lands a Crit.

However, keep in mind that too much ATK from other sources may lead to diminishing return, meaning it may be a good idea to focus on Crit DMG, DMG, or PEN buff to balance things out.

Steel Cushion is also viable for its Physical DMG bonus, and its Crit Rate substat will allow Ye Shunguang to build more ATK from her Drive Discs.

You can use Brimstone’s idea by building Ye Shunguang with Starlight Engine. It’s an A-Rank W-Engine that will increase her ATK% when she triggers a Dodge Counter or Quick Assist, which is something she naturally does during her gameplay. The ATK% buff stays for 12 seconds, which is enough for Ye Shunguang to trigger it again.

Starlight Engine Replica also works if you can keep a distance from enemies to trigger the passive. It requires a six-meter hitting distance with Basic Attack to grant a massive Physical DMG buff for 8s.

Gilded Blossom gives slightly less ATK% than Starlight Engine, but it does increase the DMG of Ye Shunguang’s EX Special Attacks. It’s not really as useful, but it’s a solid option when you’re struggling to build her in ZZZ.

As a character that works around the Ether Veil mechanics, Ye Shunguang can fully take advantage of the White Water Ballad set in ZZZ. She’s also an Attack Agent, which is the requirement for the second part of White Water Ballad’s passive effect.

As for the rest of Ye Shunguang’s build in Zenless Zone Zero, give the two pieces that further increase her stats. Branch & Blade Song grants Crit DMG, and the following are also good options:

• Puffer Electro (PEN Ratio +8%)
• Astral Voice (ATK +10%)
• Hormone Punk (ATK +10%)
• Fanged Metal (Physical DMG +10%)
• Woodpecker Electro (Crit Rate +8%)

You can consider using the set that has the better substat.
