How to Perform Noname Sword Daunting Strike for Xiao Ping’an
In the opening area of Where Winds Meet, you will eventually meet Feng Jisheng, who will teach you how to use the bow and arrow by shooting down some birds from the sky. After the next cutscene, your following objective is to ‘Approach the Stranger,’ which will lead you to a Wayfarer who will give you your first part of the map. After that, you will have to defeat a bear to learn some Tai Chi. You can keep following the main objective of finding the General’s Shrine, or you can defeat some nearby enemies at a camp to unlock a little side quest with Xiao Ping’an.
How to Start Little Master’s Legacy 1 Encounter in Where Winds Meet
If you’re following the main objective to ‘go to the General’s Shrine,’ you’ll need to pass through a nearby river. There will be a short bridge over the water you can pass through, and once you do, you can spot an enemy camp in the clearing on the right.
If you’re playing with a controller, you’ll see a prompt to hold in on the left control stick to overhear their conversation.
Go ahead and do your thing and beat the enemies. Once they’re gone, you’ll see a little objective pop up on the top left to find a child nearby that was observing your battle. You can track it by holding the button that appears, but you should be able to easily find him in the clearing, not too far north of the camp.
He’ll ask if you want to learn a new martial art technique, but before he teaches you, he wants to see your moves in combat again. Specifically, he wants to see you perform Noname Sword’s Daunting Strike.
How to Perform Noname Sword – Daunting Strike for Xiao Ping’an in Where Winds Meet
This may not be very clear to figure out at first, but the move in question is one you’ve probably been using this entire time in Where Winds Meet. What you first need to make sure of is that you have the Nameless Sword Martial Arts equipped in your abilities section of the development menu.
From there, click into the Nameless Sword to see your Martial Arts skills and talents unlocked for the sword. If you check out the move that’s attached to the LT+X button (L2+Square), you’ll see that it’s called Daunting Strike. The move will shoot a sword in front of you, and then you dash forward to inflict damage to an opponent. This is the ability that you need to perform in front of Xiao Ping’an.
- Open your menu and hit the Develop button.
- Tab left to the Abilities section.
- Click on Nameless Sword.
- Check that the Daunting Strike move is attached to the left-most slot.
- If on PC, press Q to do the move. On Xbox, press LT+X. On PS, use L2+Square.
- If you don’t have the Nameless Sword on your person, you can try pressing down on the control pad to switch between your weapons.
