PC Gamers Have 4 Free Games to Claim Right Now
Between Steam and the Epic Games Store, PC gamers currently have four free games to add to their digital libraries. Every December, the Epic Games Store gives away free games on a daily basis as part of its mystery game promotion. Steam doesn’t have an equivalent, but various publishers on the platform still give away free games to celebrate the holiday season. PC gamers that make sure to claim all the freebies can significantly grow their collection of games.
Already numerous free Steam games have been given away, and, at the time of this writing, seven free Epic Games Store games have been given away. December has been a busy month for free PC games, to say the least, and there are even more on the horizon. The days ahead will include more free games for PC gamers to snag on various platforms, but they should be sure to claim the current free games before they expire.
Steam Users Have Until December 31 to Claim Free Top-Down Shooter Game
Steam users can claim an interesting-looking top-down shooter for free and keep it forever, but the limited-time promotion is ending soon.
On Steam, the current batch of free PC games include Rat Quest, The Deed: Dynasty, and Undercroft Warriors. Rat Quest and The Deed: Dynasty will be free on Steam until December 25 at 12:00pm CST, at which point they will return to their normal asking prices. Undercroft Warriors will be free on Steam until December 31 at 12:00pm CST, so PC gamers have a little more time to claim that game.
Free Games on Steam Right Now
Rat Quest will appeal to fans of super-difficult platformers, which is admittedly a niche audience, but free is free. The Deed: Dynasty is a narrative-driven adventure game where players have to frame someone else for a murder they committed. Both games have been received well by Steam users. Undercroft Warriors, meanwhile, is a twin-stick shooter that hasn’t garnered many Steam reviews, but since it’s free, there’s no harm in claiming it and trying it for yourself. Again, Rat Quest and The Deed Dynasty are free until December 25, and Undercroft Warriors is free until December 31.

The Epic Games Store side of things is a little more complicated. At the time of this writing, Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night is the free game. Inspired by classic Castlevania games like Symphony of the Night, Bloodstained was produced by Koji Igarashi. It earned mostly positive reviews at the time of its original release and stands tall as one of the stronger Epic Games Store free games given away as part of the latest mystery game promotion.
Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night will be free on the Epic Games Store until December 24 at 10:00am CST. At that point, it will be cycled out and replaced by the next free game, whatever that may be. The December 24 free game will then be cycled out and replaced by the December 25 free game. The free games will change at 10:00am CST each day, so PC gamers should be sure to claim them while they are still up for grabs.
Between the latest Epic Games Store freebie and the three free games currently available on Steam, PC gamers should have at least four games to claim by December 25. There will be even more Epic Games Store free games given away in the days ahead, plus Undercroft Warriors is free until December 31, so fans should keep that in mind.
