After the recent North Line update, where Embark added the new Stella Montis map to Arc Raiders, the developers are finally adding the long-awaited snow condition to most maps. This will not be a new map but an event that occurs on the existing map for an hour. This condition adds another layer to the game where the visibility throughout the maps will be limited, so the likelihood of getting ambushed is high.

With the announcement of the Cold Snap update, players will be ready to drop into the map first thing when it goes live on the 16th of December. However, there has been no official information on what the release time for this update will be. Since they have not confirmed the time, we can assume it should be the same as the North Line update, which introduced the Stella Montis map.
