How to Evolve Hisuian Qwilfish into Overqwil in Pokemon Legends ZA
Hisuian Qwilfish can evolve into
Overqwil, a Dark/Poison-type Pokemon in Pokemon Legends: Z-A. However, unlike regular evolutions that only require players to level up their Pokemon to a certain point, Hisuian Qwilfish’s evolution method is special.
Players hoping to complete their Pokedex in Legends Z-A’s Mega Dimension DLC will want to know how to find and catch Hisuian Qwilfish as well as how to get it to evolve into Overqwil. This guide gives an in-depth explanation of how to do so.
All Pokemon Legends Z-A Trade Codes
Some Pokemon can only evolve through trading in Pokemon Legends Z-A, and there are public trade codes you can use to complete your Pokedex.
How to Get Hisuian Qwilfish in Pokemon Legends: Z-A
Hisuian Qwilfish Location
Hisuian Qwilfish can be found in 3-Star Hyperspace Wild Zones (Poison/Dark-type) in Pokemon Legends: Z-A Mega Dimension DLC. Look for a quill-shaped silhouette, like the one shown in the screenshot above, among Hyperspace Pokemon to find a Hisuian Qwilfish.
3-Star Hyperspace Wild Zones start appearing around Lumiose City after players catch Mega Tatsugiri in the Hyperspace Lumiose Survey No. 3 mission.
If you see a
Qwilfish appear in a 2-Star Hyperspace, that’s the normal variant, not the Hisuian regional form. Regular Qwilfish cannot evolve into Overqwil.
How to Evolve Hisuian Qwilfish into Overqwil in Pokemon Legends Z-A
Hisuian Qwilfish Evolution Method
Hisuian Qwilfish can evolve into
Overqwil after it has performed the move Barb Barrage 20 times in Pokemon Legends: Z-A Mega Dimension.
Hisuian Qwilfish learns Barb Barrage at level 28. Since 3-Star Hyperspace Pokemon are typically around level 20-23, this means you will not need to level up your Qwilfish too much before you gain access to this move.
Similar to Primeape’s evolution into Annihilape, Hisuian Qwilfish does not need to use Barb Barrage in a single battle. As long as it performs the move 20 times in total (even against non-Pokemon targets), it will meet the requirements for evolution.
Trainers can take their Hisuian Qwilfish to an early-game Wild Zone and spam Barb Barrage against low-level Pokemon to easily meet these requirements.
Justice Dojo Location
An even faster method is to use the training dummy in the Justice Dojo as target practice, as using Barb Barrage against it will also count.
Justice Dojo can be found in Juane Sector 2, just to the east of
Wild Zone 20. The training dummy can be found by the entrance, near the Seeds of Mastery and Hyper Training NPCs.
