Where Winds Meet Releases Massive December Update

By newsgame

Everstone Studios releases one of the biggest updates yet for Where Winds Meet, expanding the map by a third while adding tons of new content for players to explore. Following the launch of Where Winds Meet in November, developer Everstone Studios has continued to release updates, relying heavily on feedback from players. The studio has been very active on social media, engaging with its players and keeping them informed of upcoming features and updates as well.

Earlier this month, Everstone Studios revealed a major December 2025 content roadmap for Where Winds Meet, giving players a heads-up on what they could expect to see each week. At the start of the month, players saw the addition of two more Jianghu Legacy quests to the game with Twelve Years of Feuds and An Unholy Prophecy. However, Week 2 brought with it the largest update that the game has seen to this point.

Free-to-play RPG Where Winds Meet rolls out a vehicle-building mechanic similar to The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom’s Ultrahand ability.

Update 1.1 for Where Winds Meet adds a massive amount of content to the popular free-to-play title. As part of the update, the Roaring Sands map has been unlocked and, according to Everstone Studios, it adds almost one-third of explorable space to the current map of Kaifeng. In addition to the massive new space, players have more quests to undertake as well, including Dragons Appear, Legend of the River Master, and Death of the True Dragon. Where Winds Meet hasn’t been afraid to reward its players for their patience, and the same can be said for this update as Everstone is granting all players 100 Echo Jade due to the maintenance downtime.

For players seeking more challenges, Everstone has added another challenging fight to Where Winds Meet‘s already extensive World Boss list. Feng Ruzhi is the latest World Boss encounter to be added, alongside the new River Master quest.

The Velvet Shade has also been added to Where Winds Meet‘s current factions and can be unlocked once Jianghu Legacy: Shadows in Bloom has been completed and Everstone is preparing to open a special shop where players can purchase unique sect appearance options and other items. Alongside the sect, Gossip Paper is a new gameplay mechanic that Everstone teases will help players track clues and pass along secret information. There’s a new in-game challenge called the Taiping Mausoleum, tasking players with clearing trials and progressing as far as they can for unique rewards, before the challenge is reset each Friday.

Outside the new content, Where Winds Meet is now available on mobile, letting players take the game on the go, whether it be for iOS or Android. The launch is accompanied by a few limited-time events like The Great Faceologist and Fresh Wind, New Year. The former is available now through the end of December, while the latter is available on December 11, 14, and the 30th.

For many fans, Where Winds Meet was already a content-rich experience with tons of content at launch, so a free addition of this magnitude just a month after launch will likely be very well received by the community. It’s clear that Everstone values its players, especially after Where Winds Meet achieved huge milestones at launch, constantly thanking them through social media posts and in each of the game’s patch notes, so it would seem that fans will have plenty more to look forward to once the calendar flips forward to 2026. For now, players will have to wait to find out just what that is.
