Fortnite Leak Reveals Highly Requested Anime Crossover
A popular Fortnite leaker has revealed that Epic Games is coordinating a crossover between the battle royale and the massively popular anime Bleach, exciting a lot of fans who have been waiting for this very moment. Fortnite recently launched Chapter 7, which debuted with a Hollywood-inspired map and collaborations with major film franchises like Kill Bill and Back to the Future.
The Bleach anime first made its debut in 2004 and ran through 2012, producing 366 episodes in total. The anime showcased the adventures of Ichigo Kurosaki, a teenager who suddenly becomes embroiled in the world of the Soul Society after gaining Shinigami (or Soul Reaper) powers from Rukia Kuchiki. The story later continued in 2022 when the manga’s final arc, Thousand-Year Blood War, was adapted for film. It’s expected that the next entry in the series will make its debut in 2026. This certainly isn’t the first time a major anime has come to Fortnite. The battle royale already includes a wide variety of characters from hit shows like Dragon Ball Super, One Punch Man, Cowboy Bebop, My Hero Academia, Jujutsu Kaisen, and plenty more. In fact, most of the shows listed have received multiple waves of cosmetics, bringing a significant number of popular anime heroes and villains to the game. However, there have been a few glaring omissions, which have caused many fans to ask Epic Games to add even more anime crossovers to the title.
Fortnite Leaks SpongeBob SquarePants Crossover
A recent leak from Fortnite is hinting at a beloved animated series coming to the battle royale, with a SpongeBob crossover reportedly in the works.
Bleach Is Coming to Fortnite in Chapter 7
In a recent post on Twitter, the prominent leaker HYPEX revealed that the hit anime Bleach will be coming to Fortnite in the future. While the leaker was unable to provide specific details about which characters might receive skins, they did claim that the crossover launch during Chapter 7 Season 1. Since the current season ends near the beginning of March, players may not have to wait very long at all to get their hands on some Bleach cosmetics. There’s no way of knowing how extensive the crossover will be, but that hasn’t stopped some fans from getting their hopes up. Many players are already asking Epic Games to add fan favorite characters like Ichigo Kurosaki, Rukia Kuchiki, Byakuya Kuchiki, Kisuke Urahara, Orihime Inoue, and more to the title. It’s worth noting that, even if some characters don’t come to the game at first, it’s always possible additional waves of cosmetics could appear in the future, as was the case with Dragon Ball Super, Jujutsu Kaisen, and others.
Some fans are hopeful that Epic Games may even take this opportunity to introduce special items or weapons from the show, which has been done before. In the past, players have been able to wield the Kamehaha as an attack and use the Nimbus for mobility, both of which are heavily featured in the Dragon Ball franchise. Some gamers are even hopeful that locations from the show could appear on the map, as Stranger Things fans were recently treated to a Blitz map inspired by the Netflix series. The recent Simpsons mini-season featured a fully cel-shaded map with locations inspired by Springfield, though most collaborations are not as extensive or all-encompassing as that one.
It seems as if anime fans may have even more news to look forward to in the future, as it was leaked that there could also be a proper crossover between Fortnite and Dragon Ball Daima at some point in the future. Of course, many players are still waiting for any possible news of a collaboration with the anime One Piece, which has been requested by fans for many years. A lot of players have also asked Epic Games to add characters from Gundam Wing, Sailor Moon, and Inuyasha to the battle royale, though there have been no rumors of any such crossovers happening soon. With so much content to enjoy and even more just around the corner, many fans are feeling optimistic about the future of Fortnite.
