Mech Part Locations in Metroid Prime 4

By newsgame

After completing the Great Mines and obtaining the Teleporter Chip from Tokabi in Sol Valley, Metroid Prime 4 players are tasked with recovering six mech parts. While players who have spent a good amount of time exploring the desert may already know the locations of several of those parts, finding them all can be tricky. This guide is intended for players who are struggling to track down some of the mech parts in Metroid Prime 4, and the locations of all of them are detailed below.

While players can start finding mech parts as soon as they reach Sol Valley for the first time, they cannot interact with them until they give the aforementioned Teleporter Chip to Myles in Fury Green and obtain some Teleporter Patches.

How to Get Green Energy Crystals (& Rewards) in Metroid Prime 4

Players who have questions about the Green Energy Crystal rewards in Metroid Prime 4 can find the answers they seek in this guide.

Mech Part Locations in Metroid Prime 4

G.F. Debris #1

There is a G.F. Debris site just southeast of the entrance to Fury Green, and there is a vehicle crashed into the building at that location. Use your Psychic Lasso to move the vehicle and reveal a chest protector. Interact with that mech part to attach a Teleporter Patch to it.

G.F. Debris #2

Head over to the G.F. Debris site on the south side of the map, between the entrance to Volt Forge and Flare Pool. Interact with the mech part on top of the building to teleport it.

G.F. Debris #3

There is a G.F. Debris site on the east edge of Sol Valley, all the way across the map from the entrance to Fury Green. Here, approach the flashing capsule to initiate a fight with Varmis. Defeat this boss by driving Vi-O-La into the orb at the tip of its tail, use Morph Ball to enter its throat, and place a Power Bomb next to the flashing capsule. After the bomb detonates, simply interact with the mech part to claim it.

G.F. Debris #4

There is a mech arm attached to the building at the G.F. Debris site in north Sol Valley. Hit that object with a Thunder Shot to cause it to fall to the ground, and then interact with the object to send it to Myles.

Entrance to Ice Belt

There is a mech part near the entrance to Ice Belt, and here is how to reach it:

  • Enter Ice Belt.
  • Pass the elevator, and use Psychic Grapple in the corridor beyond it to reach an elevated path.
  • Follow the path to reach an elevated area near the entrance to Ice Belt. The mech part is here.

Flare Pool

For the final mech part, head to Flare Pool and return to the area with the large lava pool. Descend the ramp that leads toward the pool, and use a Super Missile to destroy the large boulder at the bottom. Now follow the path that is revealed all the way to the end, and scan the charged particle cannon on the ledge in the final room. This scanning will trigger a battle with Behemoth, and players will be able to interact with the mech part when that foe is defeated.
