Scholar Remembrance Quest Guide in Elden Ring Nightreign Forsaken Hollows
Scholar is one of the new Nightfarers joining Elden Ring Nightreign as part of the Forsaken Hollows DLC. He is a support-type character that focuses on buffing allies and debuffing enemies. As with all the other Nightfarers, players will be able to complete his remembrance quests, which will unlock unique cosmetics, relics, and allow you to take a deep dive into his lore.
Elden Ring Nightreign: How To Replay & Beat The Tutorial Boss
At the end of tutorial level, players will meet a familiar foe as a boss, and taking it down will reward them with a relic in Elden Ring Nightreign.
How to Start Scholar Remembrance Quests in Elden Ring Nightreign Forsaken Hollows
The first thing players will need to do is to unlock the Scholar and Undertaker in Elden Ring Nightreign: The Forsaken Shadows DLC. Once you’ve completed the short quest, both of the new Nightfarers will be added to your list of playable characters. Now, all you need to do is switch to Scholar, and you can start his Remembrance quest.
You can head to the journal and notice that there will be some entries unlocked. However, to start the first Remembrance quest, you’ll need to play an expedition, preferably the DLC “Balancers” expedition with the Scholar.
You don’t need to complete the expedition by defeating the Nightlorld, but survive for as long as you can, and return to Roundtable Hold to unlock a new entry into Scholar’s Journal. However, you can try defeating one of the Nightlords to unlock Chapter 3 the fastest.
Scholar Remembrance “Chapter 3” Quest Walkthrough in Nightreign Forsaken Hollows
Once you start the Chapter 3 Remembrance quest for Scholar, you’ll first need to visit the Chapel again and interact with the table directly right of the entrance.
After interacting, select the “A scrap of paper that reads Tear” option. This will add a personal objective for the Scholar, and you’ll need to embark on any expedition to complete the quest.
As soon as you load into the game, open up the map, and you’ll see one of the landmarks with a glowing red objective marker. The location of the building is random, but the structure inside will remain the same, making navigation easier.
The area around the building will have goopy sludge that will slowly build a status effect on your player. Make sure to stock up on consumables that alleviate the effects of a status.
Once you’ve entered the building, follow the corridor and take an immediate left, into the hole in the wall. Inside, you’ll find a couple of enemies that you can either defeat or ignore. Look to the right to find a well-lit doorway that you can enter to spot a hatch with a ladder leading to the lower sections.
Once you drop below, interact with the glowing object on the table to retrieve the Vassal’s Journal. This will complete the Personal objective, and now players can return to Roundtable Hold by either completing the quest or simply dying.
Once you return, head back to the Chapel to see Undertaker licking some purple goo off a wall. Talk to her, and the Iron Menial will call on you to inform you that there’s been a cave-in in one of the rooms. Once the dialog completes, interact with the table again to analyze the Vassal’s Journal. This will complete the Chapter 3 Remembrance quest for the Scholar in Elden Ring Nightreign: The Forsaken Hollows.
Scholar Remembrance “Chapter 5” Quest Walkthrough in Nightreign Forsaken Hollows
Once you’ve completed the Chapter 3 Scholar Remembrance quest in Nightreign, you’ll unlock Chapters 4 and 5.
After starting the Remembrance quest, head to the Small Jar Merchant and ask it to show you the Great Hollow. After selecting this option, players will be teleported into another area where they’ll see a large boulder hanging with chains.
Here, you’ll encounter several Glintstone Sorcerers who’ll try to attack you if you’re spotted. You don’t need to fight them, as you can just head to the top floor to avoid them and jump on top of the chained boulder.
After getting on top of the chained boulder, you’ll see a small hole in the wall that you can reach by walking on the beams. Once you go through it, you’ll see a door that will be locked.
To unlock the door, you’ll need to investigate the loud sound, which will trigger a fight with the Marauder (Godskin Apostle). The fight is relatively simple if you’ve left the Glintstone Sorcerers alive, as they’ll attack the Marauders and the soldiers, giving you ample opportunity to land attacks and keep your distance.
Once you’ve defeated the enemies, head back to the locked door, and it will open this time around. Head inside and interact with the soldier encased in crystal to teleport back to Roundtable Hold. Doing this will also grant players the Cleansing Tear.
Completing the Scholar Chapter 5 Remembrance quest will unlock the 6th and 7th chapters, and you’ll need to complete the Balancers expedition and take down the Nightlord to unlock Chapter 8. To complete Chapter 8, you’ll need to complete the final expedition of the Forsaken Hollows DLC called Dreglord.
Doing this will complete the entire Scholar Remembrance questline, and you’ll be able to focus on the Undertaker quests next.
