ARC Raiders Players Are Using a Crafting Trick to Farm Millions

By newsgame

ARC Raiders players have noticed that crafting and reselling Energy Clips has an immense return on investment, and it might be one of the best methods for making millions of coins real quick. Coins are one of ARC Raiders‘ primary currencies, mainly earned by selling items players loot during their topside explorations.

Earning more coins has become a concern within the community ever since ARC Raiders revealed the full Expedition checklist. Players now know that they will need to have five million coins or a stash worth that amount of money to get the most out of the event. This has sparked new discussions about the best ways of making coins in ARC Raiders, with some fans now offering a method that deserves to be called an exploit.

Every 60 Days, ARC Raiders will go through a wide server wipe, and here’s how to save your progress for your next Raider using the Expeditions.

Turns Out Energy Clips Are Worth a Fortune in ARC Raiders

Pointed out by a Reddit user, ARC Raiders‘ Energy Clips sell for 5,000 coins, while the items required to craft them can be sold only for about 1,140 coins on their own. This indicates a potential 3,860-coin profit. Previously, another Reddit user claimed that the ARC Raiders crafting system is designed so that reselling crafted items is never profitable. They used a spreadsheet to compare each craftable item’s cost and profit, which showed that reselling crafted items usually causes the player to lose money. However, what they seemingly forgot to include in their calculations was that each crafted Energy Clip comes in a pack of five, making the return on investment huge.

Energy Clips can be crafted using some of ARC Raiders‘ commonly found materials, Batteries and Advanced ARC Powercells. Players can also accelerate the process by taking advantage of Celeste’s offers, exchanging their excess Assorted Seeds for Batteries to make even more Energy Clips. The only catch is that crafting this type of ammo requires knowing the Equalizer blueprint, which not all players have obtained yet. The good news for those lacking the blueprint is that they can still collect a significant amount of Energy Clips during Harvester events in ARC Raiders, which they can then exchange for coins at the same 5,000 per stack rate.

Many players have jokingly requested that the Reddit user remove their post, worrying that developer Embark Studios may find out about the exploit and patch it. However, there seems to be no official notice or acknowledgment from the development team regarding this crafting method, and it might even be something the studio has always been aware of. After all, acquiring the base ingredients for crafting Energy Clips in bulk is no easy feat, and the item is not that common on the topside. So maybe the devs aren’t worried about the potential of reselling Energy Clips at a higher price than the cost to craft them.

It is worth noting that reselling Energy Clips might be one of the convenient ways of making money fast in ARC Raiders, but it is not the only method. Many players have come up with loot routes, especially for Night Raids, that can yield a plethora of expensive items, helping them rack up hundreds of thousands of coins in a short time. Others prefer trading unwanted items with other players for a profit. The most common method is selling one blueprint for a stack of 100 Assorted Seeds, essentially exchanging a 5,000-coin item for a 10,000-coin ingredient and earning 5,000 coins in profit.

Exploits like the Energy Clip method have also fueled arguments against the game’s Expedition requirements. Some players believe that asking players to earn five million coins will only encourage toxic behaviors and possibly hurt the game’s economy. Some have suggested that the projects should be progression-based, asking players to complete missions and battle pass objectives or reach certain account levels to get the Expedition benefits. In the coming days, it will be interesting to see if Embark Studios comments on these criticisms and whether it will change the premise of future projects in ARC Raiders to focus less on earning more coins.
